Going out to dance/pick up women is a different story. That's when a lot of guys turn into peacocks. Not that this pic is flamboyant, but I wouldn't wear a hat like that for daily wear and the vast majority of guys around here wouldn't either.

I'm not all that interested in how it works down there. I lived just outside of San Antonio for five years, lived on a ranch in Texas the year before that. Now I live deep into NorCal ag territory. Last Thursday night we had a huge storm and about 20 of my neighbor's cattle wandered through my front yard at Midnight. I'm surrounded by a 25 acre orchard on three sides so I was surprised that they went that far out of their way.

Hmmmm....odd. I'm from Central Texas and see it all the time. Not everybody, but it's very common. My Dad and brother do the farm work together. Dad wears cowboy hat, jeans, and boots. My brother wears a ball cap, jeans, and boots.

Again the turqoise shirt dude was clearly a joke and was probably photographed in Buffalo, NY. I never see that gay shit down here and I'm out a ton.
