Most shitty players are humble.

There are still plenty of good ones who are humble as well. Jamaal Charles is a great example.

You're just not going to find that kind of attitude in CBs, though. You need swag and you need confidence in order to play those positions. It's like playing goalie. If you aren't able to put your shortcomings in the past, you'll second-guess everything you do, which can kill you instantly.

Isnt Derrick Johnson pretty humble?

He was the best corner on the Chiefs team by far. I guess that counts for something...

Or not.

MahiMike 07-01-2014 12:33 PM

I never knew he was ever a top corner.

Hammock Parties 07-01-2014 12:37 PM

He'll probably have a better season than any CB on our roster.

He was damn near elite in 2010.

This is exactly right.

I sent an email to the HOF as well. Flowers will be the first player to be inducted while still active. Plans are being made as we speak to build the Brandon Flowers memorial wing onto the HOF so fans can bask in the solitude of his awesomeness forever.

They should make one for William Bartee, too. It could be one of those eternal flame things like at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

This...They gave him plenty of time to get on another team before training camp. If he plays like a dog this year he'll be on one year deals till he retires.

He didn't even do that last year.

Because of the scheme.

It's also interesting that Flowers said this. I've always heard that he and Berry were supposed to be besties4ever

Did you bother to read the post I was responding to?

The guy was a top 5 CB in 2010, very good in 2011, and still pretty good in our atrocious 2012 season.

2013 seems to have been more of a fluke than anything.
