They used to make these fresh at my high school. 99% of the time you'd get a bag of them that was just out of the oven; hot. would have to eat them with a fork almost.

Junior High. Best. Cookies. Ever. I swear those things were just hot buttery chunks of dough sold in bags. ...EVERYONE loved those cookies. |

I'm not saying the best by any means but I found these at the store the other night and if you're ever at home and get that craving pop one in the toaster and not bad.

One of the best store bought cookies I ever had was from a restaurant called Bricktops. There are not many around, and it is not always on their desert menu, but that thing was damn delicious. Also, if you have not tried the Papa Johns 5$ cookie, it was a pleasant surprise. Not as good as cookies from a real cookie store, but I though it was better then the Old Chicago cookie.

Hard to say nationally, but there is a place in Fort Collins called Eileen's Colossal Cookies and they are utterly amazing. The best chocolate chip cookies I have ever eaten.

As far as convenience Hen House has some dang good chocolate chip cookies.
