Never remember seeing any roller stripes. And I use the left over on the walls, cabinets , carpet, whatever !

Grab paint labeled "Ceiling paint" and go for it. Quick and dirty.:thumb:

you should paint it all black then add stars, Saturn, asteroids, rockets and unidentified flying objects

gloss on a ceiling is not the brightest idea. roller marks aside, you will see EVERY imperfection, including those you never knew were there.

there is a reason Ceiling Paint is made, the consistency is formulated for application on the horizontal, and it is flat. The color changing type is the best so you ensure even coverage.

oh, and to paint over that you will need to hit it with something to knock down the gloss (sandpaper or liquid deglosser), otherwise the paint bond will fail prematurely.

Spray it on. Use a less shiny paint. The shine shows all.

Those exterior lights on the wall rock... Will work with astroturf nicely.

:)

Also before you paint the ceiling sand out those roller marks

The wife switched to a thicker roller. Put more paint on the roller. Used your technique and it actually worked. Or as good as gloss it ever going to work.

I had planned to take a sledge hammer to those things but my son says they are so different and cool that I ought to try them for a while and see if their uniqueness helps the room.......... I've got the sledgehammer close by.
