Remember the days when they said Robert Gallery was an absolute can't miss at left tackle for an NFL team? Rated higher than any other tackle, ever? Only gave up one sack his entire college career, and on and on?

Yeah.

It's like none of these pissants even try when writing this crap. If a QB is worthy of being taken if we trade down to say 5 or 6, then he's ****ing well worth being taken one overall. The new rookie cap pretty much destroys the old thinking of what "value" is at the top of the first round.

Can we please fly a banner over Arrowhead that says "WE WILL BE PATIENT WITH A QB DRAFTED #1 - WE PROMISE"

Yeah.

True. No kid is a can't miss really. But as positions in the NFL go, tackle is about as safe as you get. I sure know there are few teams that know how to draft a D-lineman.

And 2011 QB's proved they're the biggest crap shoot.

Yeah.

Joeckel is better than Robert Gallery. Duh.

Yeah, let's go safe! We can wait another 20 years for a playoff win! Yeah!

Also... this don't make a **** bit of sense....

Quote:

With the first choice you don't draft for need; you draft the best player out there. You go in one direction and one direction only, and that's for the sure thing. You absolutely, positively must be sold that whomever you choose steps in, starts and becomes the foundation of your franchise for the next 5-10 years.
Quote:

So that makes Kansas City's options easy: Either stay where you are and choose the best player -- a pass rusher, maybe, or a left tackle
So the first choice absolutely positively must be sold as the foundation for the next 5-10 years. So who would that be? I don't know a pass rusher, maybe, or some shit who knows....

ptlyon 02-14-2013 11:55 AM

Just had a thought - won't it be ironic if Joeckel is drafted by us #1 and then the most hated current player in KC?

Jerm 02-14-2013 11:55 AM

The people that advocate Joeckel or Star I simply ask....why?

WHY?!?

Neither of them improve this team at all...talk about wasting a pick.

I've yet to see a valid argument for either....because there isn't one.

How does letting Albert go and drafting Joeckel make the team better?

really? from my perspective, they can't afford NOT to take a QB.

Another rhetorical question.
