Anyone have any good links that you could point me at so that I can create an festivities event list.

Some have said Fishermans Wharf... Chinatown...

never been to San Fran, so Im looking forward to it.

Thats too bad,I'm going out there in June to see the Yankees play the Giants..had you been going in June,I would have dragged your ass to a Yankee game and purchased some Yankee memorabilia for you and your son to wear..heh!

That is the last place I would go for a steak...but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

It is a nice place to go for the view and drink. I guess if you are dying of hunger you could eat there. There are simply too many good restaurants in town (I think I read there are more restaurants per square mile than any any city in the country) to eat there.

The best thing about living in SF is every year I get a Chiefs game at Oakland. I live near bart so I can drink a couple beers and not worry about driving home.

About 20 years ago I was there to visit ComputerLand in Hayward....after meeting with them, my boss and I went over to the Presidio, Alcatraz and them stopped and parked in the Golden Gate Park to take pics of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz from afar. We happened to walk by a Pinto station wagon that was parked away from everyone else....in the back were 2 guys going at it....totally freaked out my boss.

You should call and make reservations for Alcatraz now, although you may still be too late. The last two times I've tried to go see it, it has been booked for months.

Yeah I eat there every chance I get. We used to have a branch in San Jose, so I would run up there in the evening a lot.

Did you set at the counter or a table? I have a buddy that lives a couple blocks from there and we always eat at the counter. The waiters are lifers. Did you have the Ciapino(sp)?

ROFL I always wanted to be a hippie, hanging at Haight Ashbury is cool.

"Corner of Haight & Ashbury: Back in the mid-1960s, this was perhaps the most famous intersection in the world, a place where young people came to from all over the world in search of love and peace. Some found it and some didn't, but that was only one chapter in this neighborhood's long and colorful history. Today it's worth a visit just to see the beautiful Victorians that surround the area. And maybe to get a Ben and Jerry's ice-cream cone, if you like that sort of thing".

an alternative to Fishermans warf....is Pier 39..a great chance to see the Sea Lions!!!

http://www.pier39.com/Dining/Restaur...x.htm#store109

We like "The Pier Market Restaurant" for great, yet reasonably priced seafood. Don't miss Aquarium of the Bay..walk through tunnels surrounded by sea life....it is pretty impressive!

I will agree....there are TONS of great restaurants within walking distance of there......get there early, drive to "Lombardo Street" and you will drive past literally hundreds of great eateries.

San Francisco is an awesome town. I have not been to Tadich Grill however. How were things in SF?

BUMP.....

I'm heading to San Fran tonight and was planning on going to a Giants game on Friday night but realized I mixed up the dates.

I am going to a speakeasy on Thursday that sounds pretty fun, but my wife and I have no plans for Friday. What are some cool things to do on a Friday night in San Fran? Cool music venues, bars/clubs, casinos, etc?
