she's is not a guard dog lol. She just got excited but I put her in her room but she wasn't barking, just acting excited. I don't know if that's how black labs typically are or not. I would like her to be a little defensive of the home lol.

at some point, when I move out of here and have more land I'm going to get another dog that's more aggressive, as long as it gets along with my dog now. I think that will rub off on my dog and once one dog starts barking and acting badass, the other one will to.

Firstly, no, you were not wrong to call the cops. This guy may be doing this elsewhere and if so the cops need to know he was at your house, in your neighborhood, etc.
