Man I love Freese. He has forever earned a place of honor in Cardinals lore. He won one of the best baseball games of all time. But, we cant just keep a dead bat in the lineup and hitting into DP's and killing rally's.

2011, I certainly did. That team had an elite offense. I know this team leads the league in runs scored, but it requires a ton of effort to score those runs. Seemingly impossible for us to drive the ball.

They were 10 games out in late july, got 4 game swept in LA. And you say you thought we were going to do something in the playoffs?

Not at that point, no. I'm projecting how this team is going to look in the PS. There is a lack of power that is a definite Achilles Heel.

They weren't that out of it until the LA sweep. This team reminds me of the Nationals of last season, unfortunately, except better in the long run.

I'm afraid of how everyone outside of Wainwright will perform. If Lynn is back to knowing his fastball, things will be fine. If not, they're ****ed. Shelby will be in the POs for the first time as a starter and Westbrook is streaky as hell. All of those things can lead to an early PO exit or a PO run.

Another duck snort :banghead:

Pulled the hook too soon on Shelby. He had enough for one more hitter.

Its still the best rounded team in baseball. The lack of power is obviously its biggest weakness. But if Miller is still pitching like he is capable, Waino and Miller will give us a chance to win any series.

2011 I expected some run due to the performance for the entire month, 2006 was more luck than anything, IMO. That team was ice cold pretty much all of September. I had higher expectations for the '06 team going into the season than the '11 team, though, due to '04 and '05.

Not if we hit like this.

This shit is ridiculous.

I thought 2004 and 2005 were our best chances to win a WS since the Whiteyball era.

Somebody is gonna have to start driving the baseball in gaps and over the fence. This is by far the worst series we've played all year, all the way around.

Awful baseball

'Hamas' Jenkins 07-28-2013 08:38 PM

They were worse in the Texas series. Our SP has been good enough this series to win it. Easily the worst offensive series of the year (with almost no chance of scoring in the 8th or 9th).

O.city 07-28-2013 08:41 PM

It's just so hard to manufacture runs against great pitching teams like the braves. Hence, we need a 3 run bomb or something.

We foul off so many mistakes as well
