Look, I heard about this island a long ass time ago, and it seemed really interesting at first. Everyone wants to believe a true life treasure hunt story. There have been countless 90 minute specials about people willing to dump money down that hole.

Now they figured out how to help subsidize their lunacy. Get someone to film it and make a reality TV show. It has all the credibility of the bigfoot show and those guys who chase ghosts. And yes, they make shit up. Nothing real about reality TV. I'm sure the lunatics out there digging believe that they will find something. That won't make it so. And in the meantime, they need to keep the ratings up so, let's just drop a coin I have in my collection over here.

You have your mind made up and you probably are aware of some of the interesting things and claims related to the island anyways so there is no reason to waste my time.

My issue with this kind of show is that any legit evidence would be all over news sources immediately. You wouldn't just be hearing about it on a TV show 4 months down the line.

I just find it hard to believe people will sit though hours of watching these guys dig a hole.
Oh and let's recap what we showed you five minutes ago. And here's a preview of what we're going to show you five minutes from now. And always the one preview that they show over and over they say is coming up, but they don't get to it until the last 5 minutes, and by then you've already seen it 6 times.

I have never watched this show. How'd I do on the summary?

And yes, if by some miracle they ever did find anything. It'd be on the news and in the papers, not the season 4 finale. I'll wait for that. Notify me if that happens.

For me, it was new. I had never heard of it. It is a fun theory to get lost in. We all know there is nothing "real" about reality TV, but that doesn't mean if the topic is interesting, we won't watch and be entertained. They have lost me on this one now, but I did find it interesting for a few seasons. Suspending your disbelief for 60 minutes at a time sometimes can be a relief. I deal with the real world every day, sometimes its nice to escape.

I kinda feel the same way about the bigfoot shows, and the ghost hunting shows. Maybe they aren't real, but they are still entertaining. Sometimes, on accident.

I like the show. I mean, I'm usually doing something else while I play it on the DVR, but I do record it.

This.

It's great when laying in bed, wife ain't feeling frisky and you need to something to doze off to. It's a good mind drain. Something to put on the T.V when you need something on the T.V.

Of course they won't find shit, but i like tuning in to see what new "Clue" they found this week.

...and something about sending divers hundreds of feet below ground is kinda neat too.

Easy 6 12-10-2016 01:35 PM

Watching a rerun right now, some diver wants to dive down 10x into a 26 inch around pipe... straight up nuts!

Haven't watched tonights episode yet, but am anxious to see it. As much shit as I've given this show (and rightfully so imo) this season I feel like they've done things I've hoped they would do. Finding those "box drains" is key. If those are there, there's truly something to that island, and they'll be able to follow the direction of those drains to any treasure site. And by god they may have found something in the cove. I've always been fascinated by the legend of that place so I keep watching. A small part of me thinks there is something buried there, and a bigger part of me now believes the original legend of the oak platforms every 10 feet and the 90 foot stone with strange writing on it was all bullshit. But if the original stories are false, they sure roped in a ton of people over the centuries...

I think someone already found it.

alanm 11-07-2017 04:24 PM

Starts back up tonite. I've been following this show since the beginning. I hope they find what their looking for. If only for Dan Blankenship's sake.

So many tantalizing little clues, yet no genuine bombshells... honestly seems like there is something there, but for Gods sake get on with it

If they find it, the show ends.

Yeah its been dragged out far too long, what is this season 4 or 5?... something is definitely strange about the place, but I'm tired of waiting to see what it is
