A 4.52 at a small college is burner speed

Hootie 03-04-2011 12:38 AM

It's true...

but you can keep pretending 4.5's are common

Hootie 03-04-2011 12:45 AM

check that

legit 4.5 speed, not high school coach stopwatch 35 yard dashes

I'm sure a lot of you ran 4.5 35's

WebGem 03-04-2011 02:39 AM

God Hootie is an and idiot. First he compares the people here to Jamaal Charles, and then to Starling, and BOTH ran 4.3s.

You can take a kid who runs a 4.7, and train him how to start, and finish his 40, and he can post 4.5s.

Hootie got everyone all riled up over this didn't he?

Jenson71 03-04-2011 08:26 AM

At my peak condition as a senior in HS, playing Left Tackle and Defensive Tackle, I was 6'0", 212 lbs. I probably ran it in the high 5s on a good day, like 5.9 or something. I was horribly slow. At the end of practices, we would do sprints, and our head coach would push me as a head start before everyone else started running. It made it somewhat competitive . . . with the rest of the linemen.

I also wasn't the fastest guy in school that belonged to our white RB who got a college scholarship to play football. We would race all the time because he ran track as well and we either tied or he beat me by a step or two.

I was a midget in high school. Maybe 5 5 and weighed barely 120-130 lbs.

I also didn't make the 1000 club in fact I don't think we had one but I did bench 225 and my squat was 350
