Yeah, that was a perfect time and place to see if he had learned anything, changed. I hope Matheny sees the answer we all see, no....he's done.
I don't get this either. You still had a 3 run lead, its the Padres and we still get a chance to bat. But its the ****ing book. Save situation and the 9th, only the closer can pitch.

It was a 6 run lead headed into the inning. The whole inning should have been Siegrest's. Once it was a save situation, I don't blame him for bringing in Mujica.

I think Siegrest can get lefty's or righty's. Pitch him anytime. No need to get a RH bat to help on the bench. Adams can hit lefty's or righty's, he's the big bat off the bench.

A RH bench bat would be pretty cheap and it is a definite need. Besides, Holliday isn't a picture of health and Beltran, Freese, and Craig aren't exactly Cal Ripken.

Michael Young would be a great target, IMO.

Holliday to the DL, Peterson up from Memphis.

I think Michael Young would be a good option, but I wouldn't move a whole lot to get him as there are others out there who are likely targeting him to be an everyday 3b.
