Alex will play time of possession and keep your defense off the field. No he's not going to throw the ball around explosively, but he will manage the game, keep the defense off the field for you guys. That what Alex is so good at.

I understand that's what fans don't want but it wins you games. This idea that a game manager QB is bad makes no sense. That's what a QB supposed to do.

the Talking Can 02-27-2013 11:12 AM

this guy was benched, and was available to anyone for free last year

and we're going to give up the #34 and maybe another 2nd rounder?

i hope Clark dies in the largest aids fire in history....this franchise deserves to lose forever

I would leave now. This isn't going to turn out well for you.

If we gave up two seconds I now am questioning what is going on I swear if it's Matt cassel again I don't think I can take this again!

I'm with you.

in all honesty, they'll be my #2 team next year.

duncan_idaho 02-27-2013 11:14 AM

Seriously? 34th overall pick AND what can possibly be a first-round pick NEXT year (if they're talking about "similar" value)?

If this is true, I am instantly done with this front office. They will have to win me back. And the Chiefs will have to win playoff games BECAUSE of Matt Cassel (I mean, Trent Green, err... Elvis Grbac... umm, Steve Bono, oops, Steve DeBerg) before I care again.

The only saving grace at this point is IF they draft Geno Smith 1:1. Only thing that changes my mind (well, maybe Barkley. But that's it).

This really is unfathomable. I'm truly dumbfounded. How can someone who is supposed to be intelligent make this trade?

PaulAllen 02-27-2013 11:14 AM

What the **** is wrong with this franchise?

An NFL source says that the framework of the deal is that the 49ers will get a No. 2 pick this year and a similar pick in the 2014 draft.
