Just leave those guards in the building while it explodes? Shield just randomly murders other government agents now while disobeying orders? Or the fact that Shield/whoever has a facility that holds alien regenerative technology and a robot surgeon that can bring people back from the dead. Which is easily broken into in a matter of minutes with a self destruct failsafe that then destroys all that awesome stuff. And why was Coulson hesitant to give Skye the GH 325 after he found out it was alien blood?

Just too much goofiness. Writing has been all over the place.

Finally caught up and watched this episode, but I think you're complaints may be answered in later episodes.

Regarding Coulson, they did seem to go to great lengths to explain away his actions as just being who he his. Seemed kind of forced after reading your comments, and unneeded actually. We've already seen that Coulson will do just about anything to learn about T.A.H.I.T.I, and his actions saving Skye could be viewed as being purely selfish and still fit his character. To me, combining the two justifications is more than enough cause for his actions.

They also explain the confusion about the facility and that no one seems to know who it belongs too. It may not even be another government agency. Or not a another US gov agency. And the tech may have lived out its usefulness? To be honest, when they said T.A.H.I.T.I. was the one thing the Clairvoyant couldn't see, I first thought off-world, different dimension, or some other explanation. Add in May's phone report at the end of the episode, and this is obviously not the end of the story. There is still a lot we don't know. I'm guessing we'll learn more that explain away many of your concerns.

I thought they said Coulson's time at T.A.H.I.T.I. was what the Clairvoyant couldn't see, not necessarily T.A.H.I.T.I. itself. Explained because Coulson was dead at the time. The Clairvoyant's interest in Coulson is due to the fact that he dropped off the radar and the Clairvoyant wants to know why. That's the way I interpreted it anyway.

Regardless, the last few episodes have been much much better, if you haven't caught up yet.

I think that's what they intend, but it's pretty crappy writing if so. The Clairvoyant can see everything, but doesn't know what happened to Coulson because he was dead. Well, why doesn't he just read the doctors mind or any of the other people that were in the room, or Nick Fury?

So Patton Oswalt is the lasted name brought onboard. Constable Bob becomes Eric Koenig.

But Coulson died in New York. And from the sound of it, he was dead a long time before they brought him to T.A.H.I.T.I (BTW, did I miss them explaining this acronym anywhere?). Anyway, you may be right. A lot of questions still.

As far as why Coulson was worried about giving the blood to Skye, after just doing a quick seach for Kree blood side effects (lol), I remembered Skye is not human! Remember her back story was that she was an "Object of Unidentified Origin". Also, found this little bit...

...The other is Kree, an space-faring race with a connection to another superhero, Ms. Marvel – a character whose DNA was fused with that of a Kree, resulting in superpowers. It's possible they're laying the groundwork for Skye to become Ms. Marvel much like Mike Peterson became Deathlok. While producers probably won't fundamentally alter their mostly hero-free show by adding one to the main team (shooting superpowers on a weekly basis would get expensive), this sort of sly referencing of comic origin stories (fused DNA = blood transfusion?) is definitely textbook "S.H.I.EL.D." ...
I don't know who Ms. Marvel is/are, but apparently there were several. One version has ties to Ronan the Accuser (Guardians of the Galaxy) and had a "Binary" form? Don't understand it much, but hackers with electromagnetic super powers aren't an uncommon pairing. Probably way off base, but thought it was interesting.

the comics crack me up in the way they have women wearing close to nothing half the time.

Which is half the time too much!

Another solid ep. Interested in seeing how they tie it in with Winter Soldier next week, as SHIELD is apparently falling apart (which has been reflected on the show) during the movie.

Interesting. It could give them an opportunity to "reboot" the show.

And two separate characters were ordered to Triskelion during the episode - one of which had to go to Lemurian Studies, or something like that.

Also, a dropped line mentioned Canada's Department H, for those who realize that significance.

Lemurian Star. I believe that's the ship at the very beginning of Winter Soldier.

keg in kc 04-02-2014 07:54 AM

Found an article on it: https://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/tv-news/-...042227998.html

Ah! Lemurian Star, thanks. I thought that came out of nowhere; I didn't realize it was the name of the ship.

Having just watched "CA: TWS", I immediately wondered how/when they would comment/alter the TV storyline. They can't ignore it. Too much happened.
