The Bulls might have won 8 straight, but we will never know for sure. I can guarantee the warriors won't win 8 straight, didn't they get beat after a 3-1 lead? Also they barely got by the Rockets this year. The Lakers have had two decades of Dominance so if the warriors have 1 big deal. Even that remains to be seen. As I said before enjoy it while it lasts.

Indiana had little interest in Paul George trade w/ Lakers -- and that'll be case for Spurs too. Boston gives Spurs best building blocks of assets -- one of young forwards (likely Jaylen Brown), its own 18 pick/19 protected Kings pick, etc. Lonzo to Spurs? Don't hold your breath.
3:04 PM - Jun 15, 2018
Lol like I said

'Hamas' Jenkins 06-17-2018 07:05 PM

No team is going to trade something of good value for Lonzo given his dad and his inability to shoot. If the Lakers had taken Tatum, then you can guarantee that George and LeBron would be there.

ChiefsCountry 06-17-2018 07:06 PM

Suns are now rumored to be the third party with the Lakers/Spurs in a Leonard deal. Suns have two bigger expiring contracts and they like Lonzo Ball. Would be willing to take on Deng's contract if they get Ball.

Keep dreaming buddy. The Spurs are not going to trade Leonard to the Lakers. I already thought so logically and Woj just confirmed it.

Here is the report out of Phoenix:
https://www.azcentral.com/story/spor...ard/707198002/
Quote:

Phoenix could be involved in a Leonard deal, however, as a third team facilitator. Leonard reportedly has expressed interest in playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Lakers have enough young assets to potentially satisfy the Spurs. Phoenix could get involved by taking Luol Deng’s contract off the Lakers’ hands – he has two years and $36 million left on his deal – in exchange for one of Los Angeles’ young players. Say, for example, point guard Lonzo Ball.

So I truly am not sure that I want Leonard. It's not that I'm SO in love with Jaylen Brown or an unknown pick a year from now, but it's that I'm seriously concerned with Leonard's health AND attitude. I mean, if he doesn't get along with Pop, how is he going to do better with anyone else?

Celtics have a really damn good thing going with alot of very young, very coachable and athletic players. If Kawhi is healthy and on board with the program, then HELL YEAH! But if not, then is it really worth the risk?

Second, I don't see how we get him without giving up an expensive asset like Horford (Spurs don't want him, most likely), Hayward (TERRIBLE look) or Irving (seems unwise). All to get potentially just ONE YEAR of Leonard.

That just doesn't make alot of sense to me unless the Spurs are selling at a fire-sale price, which is hard to imagine is the case.

Pop seems like he's very polarizing. I'm guessing that it's either very easy to buy in and accept a role, or it's not at all for some. But Leonard could still be a headcase and unprofessional at the same time

Oh, I doubt he'll be as bad as Wiggins (who is horrific and it is still incredible that a NBA front office was dumb enough to give him that money). More injury prone, though.

ChiefsCountry 06-21-2018 06:49 PM

If LeBron leaves Cleveland again he's one of the biggest assholes in NBA history.

First he leaves them high and dry to go jerk off Dwyane Wade, then he comes back, gives them one measly title, runs off Kyrie Irving, and then leaves CLE holding their dicks again.

Sorry, that's a shit legacy.

For the first time in a long time, I have nobody really to root for in this draft. The Raptors have been poorly run and traded all their picks away for scrubs like Ibaka the past few years while LeBron isn't connected to a team.

How many titles did Cleveland have before that?

Hell, they only HAD Irving because Lebron left. Maybe the NBA will rig the draft to give Cleveland the #1 pick again.

Seriously, does anyone actually think the NBA lottery is legit? Anyone?

I still remember Luke Walton predicting the top 3 pick. The Ewing debacle. The tendency for teams who lose star players in FA to get a top 3 pick no matter how statistically unlikely.

KC_Connection 06-21-2018 07:33 PM

David Robinson doesn't look any older than when he retired. That was like 15 years ago.

I remember I thought Svi would be a surefire lottery pick when he arrived at KU four years ago. In theory, he seemed to have everything that the NBA wants/needs these days. But after what his college career was, he's going in the 2nd round as he should.

Problem is he never really developed from the age of 17, he's pretty similar to the player he was when Self first recruited him.
