Also, firing a coach after 4 games just makes the franchise look incompetent.

Why the hell bring him back for another season if you're going to can him so quickly? Make a decision, be a man, and stick to it.

One of those moves that reeks of a GM trying to shift blame away from his shitty roster.

Get the **** out of here with that bullshit. There's a huge range between top of the heap and bottom of the shit barrel.

Why? I agree it looks better but if making the playoffs and losing every year was good enough we would all have been satisfied with the 90's Chiefs. Moral victories only exist in lowers levels like college. They don't exist in pro sports and being in the middle sucks. Being the champ is all that matters. Everyone else sucks. Are fans really upset with our playoff record? No. We are wanting a championship not a bunch of worthless playoff wins.

Bottom feeder franchise.

You seem to be hell bent on topping your own hypebole on daily basis.

By your standards there are about 20 bottom feeding teams in the NFL.

Well I could bury my head in the sand and blow sunshine and rainbows up your ass all day while avoiding reality...

Since 2000, how many playoff wins, AFC Championships or Superbowls have we played in?

Now compare that to what the Broncos, Chargers and Raiders have done over that same time frame and tell me where I am wrong on this...

By some peoples standards, the Chiefs have been a perianal Super bowl participant for the last 14 years... Its just how you look at it, reality vs delusion...

No the dilution is that if you haven't won a SB or constantly played in the championship games then you area bottom feeder. 80% of the NFL wouldn't fit those descriptions.

I am fully aware of the playoff win drought like every other fan.

However I am not ignorant enough to dismiss some really good football teams that didn't get it done but were a lot of fun to watch, which does not equal a wasted season.

Obviously the ultimate goal is to win a SB and to do that you have to win playoff games. No shit.

But to act like the team or franchise is irrelevant because they lost games they were expected to win in heart breaking fashion is short sided and narrow minded.

If your only acceptable outcome is winning a SB every season then most fans are going to be miserable shits every year.

I think 2003 was probably one of the funnest years of football I have ever watched. Last year was close.

It ended painfully but because of that I am not going to dismiss the fun I had as if it was meaningless.

Some of you are way to ridiculous with this shit.

According to what I read on CP every day, drafting a QB in a high round and starting him immediately is all you need to do. The rest doesn't matter, you don't need good players on the rest of the team or good coaching. According to CP wisdom the Raiders should be kicking ass this season.

Not in Raider land. I'm not sure why Allen is getting all the flak when McKenzie is more to blame than he is. He's the one who keep bringing in all those over the hill, useless veteran free agents.

We should spend every draft pick on a QB, and then when one works out, we'll win the super bowl. :D

I invert that. The only thing I care about in College FB is who the National Champion is.

Perennial playoff contenders I respect, even if they don't make the big game. It gets tenuous when it's a constant one and done, but it's more respectable to me than 5 years of suckitude, then a playoff run, then a return to the bottom of the barrel. I'd rather root for the Chiefs, Chargers or even Bengals than the likes of the Rams or Bucs, certainly the Raiders.

Chiefs, Bengals, and Cowboys push the edge of making the playoffs without a lot of respectability based on their playoff futility, but still making it regularly is respectable.

I do. I think he did a good job as our DC and I was sad to see him go to the Raiders. I just now saw a tweet from Adam Schefter that both the Saints and the Broncos would "welcome him back." I certainly wouldn't mind seeing the Broncos bring him in as an extra coach.

It's about morals and ethics. You don't fire someone over the phone, no how matter how you feel he or she is doing at their job. It's classless. Which, case in point, are the Raiders.

Seriously he couldn't have kicked the game winner in more than 2 or 3 games over KC in his career considering the Raiders record in his career and you don't know how many kicks were "him" not just a kick any JAG would make. Pure Hyperbole.

They have done jack and shit with him a a 1st round draft pick.

It's going to take a big time coach like that to come in and change the culture in that organization.

If they were REAL serious, they'd not only bring in Gruden, they'd can McKenzie and hire Holmgren... him and Chucky would work well together.

You're obviously a dumbass. It's a classless move. Although being a Raider fan I bet you're not the most morally or ethically sound person like most of that waste of space fan base.

You're a Chiefs fan. You probably drive a motorized cart around and are in danger of losing a foot to diabetes. I bet you don't even remove the cigarette from your mouth when you tell the highway patrolman to kiss your ass.

But he didn't steal that cart, has health insurance for the diabetes, isn't quoting tired hillbilly lines, and isn't watching his team in yet another death spiral this year...
