The Chiefs lack too many starters to draft for next year or for depth when you need starters at WR or FS or even RG.

This sorry excuse for a franchise always has something to throw to the fans. Dee Ford is ****ing overrated. The guy can only rush the passer, somewhat effectively and he can't stop the run at all.

This is a guy I would have taken in the 3rd round. Hopefully the guy becomes all world, because we just passed on Earl Thomas Part 2 and a whole shitload of very good WRs.

So he is complete opposite of Tyson Jackson?

Not sure why everyone is so upset he has more potential than Dennard and lee. Dees explosive as hell. I expect him to contribute this year. Happy we Got a speed rusher to throw in the mix. There are a shit ton of wrs in the late rounds and you NEVER know how wrs are going to pan out. Lots of good cb's left as well. Cbs are a dime a dozen anyway.

Not to worry, plenty of WR depth in this draft… which means the Chiefs will likely draft the next Craphonso Thorpe.

TambaBerry 05-08-2014 09:22 PM

Bad pick to reach at 23 here, looking forward to seeing him on the field for 20 snaps a game. maybe pick up 6 sacks and get injured constantly

Watch his combine workouts and listen to Deion just clown him.

Ford at 23 is a good pick.

It just sucks that we didnt get Manziel.

Bridgewater would still have been a good pick with Manziel gone as he would fit the offense better with an accurate arm and good football vision.

I'm pretty iffy about the pick. But the dumbassery about people freaking out because we didn't draft for need vs. BPA is just plain stupid.

I don't give a shit what holes we have on our roster. I care if we took the best player on the board. Sure as shit hope Ford was it.

Again another consequence of completely sitting out free agency… which is what the Chiefs did this year.

If the Chiefs had filled some of their needs in free agency… like WR, they would have more flexibility in the draft.

I know people were getting pumped about the possibility of a QB but get real folks. You can never have enough pass rushers. Particularly with Hali on the decline.

I don't give a shit. Criticizing a first round pick because it doesn't fill an immediate need is just plain stupid if you take a guy who plays a critical position.

I have no problem taking a 3-4 OLB. I'm ecstatic it wasn't a Guard. But yeah, I'm not that excited about the actual pick itself.

I don't see why anyone would have a problem with that. Especially Hali. Good guy, but I don't want to pay a guy a long term extension because he's nice to talk to.

We didn't lose the playoff game because of:

Alex Smith
Eric Fisher
Avery
Jenkins
or
Davis

All guys several on here threw a fit about drafting and\or signing

We lost because of an ineffective defense and Bowe not getting his foot down in bounds on the most important play of the season

So I think the criticism by some on this pick is really not based on nothing more than draft day drama

I don't have a problem with drafting a critical position in the first round. We'll see what he brings. What I think is stupid is saying the Chiefs have to limit their first round pick to fill in immediate needs.
