He's not one of our players.

He made that perfectly clear when he accused the fans of booing an injured Matt Cassel even though it NEVER ACTUALLY HAPPENED.

Eric Winston is not, and never will be, a Kansas City Chief.

It did happen. At least in my section. But that doesn't forgive his overreaction as a small fraction of fans does not = all of arrowhead

A real fan wouldn't turn on his own team's player whose bulbous fat ass couldn't keep his ugly vagina-lipped mouth shut. A real fan wouldn't turn on that player even if the player went in front of the cameras and called that fan and all other fans "sickening," and then after watching national sports media have a day of questioning the intelligence of the entire city, not ****ing apologize for going off the rail.

No, a real fan loves all players unconditionally. Even when those players treat that fan like ****ing dogshit.

I don't take this report seriously, but the amount of people lining up to suck off Alex Smith is amazing. He was awful for 5 years before Harbaugh came. Even with Harbaugh Smith was only a marginal system quarterback, and he isn't bringing the system with him. The Chiefs should want no part of this loser.

Reids courtship of Alex Smith last year could have easily have been see what his interest to be Vicks backup would be. They didn't give Vick the contract he got only to replace him a year later. If that is the case that kinda says what Reid thinks of Smith.

If Alex Smith comes in here and wins the division, he'll be the starter for the next 2 to 3 years AT LEAST.

Scenarios like what happened in SF with Smith and Kaepernick happen like once every 10 years.

The last time it happened before this year was with Bledsoe and Brady and in that case, Bledsoe got his rib cage crushed before he lost his job.

Two key points.

1. Reid loves to pass the ball. Loves, loves, loves it. If the Chiefs get Alex Smith, Smith won't be protected by the BS game management strategy. He'll sink or he'll swim. While Reid hasn't had the most sparkly history picking QBs, I think he knows the difference between a good one and a bad one.

2. Even if Reid pursued Alex Smith last year, he didn't have the #1 pick. He also drafted Nick Foles.

Not worried in the least. Even if they do get Alex Smith, I don't see him lasting very long.

Alex Smith may be a fine QB, but I just don't get this strategy at all. Unless Brandon Albert has a seriously bum back it seems like a real waste of a number one pick to trade him for a new OT. Although I guess the new guy would be cheaper I'm not sure exactly what that has to do with winning championships.

We've waited so long for this to work out, now it does and everyone is fighting it tooth and nail.

I know everyone has wanted the #1 pick forever, but there has never been a guarantee that if we got it the Chiefs would draft the fan favorite. NFL front offices tend to do what they think is right, not what the fans want. You might want to start preparing yourself for disappointment now. Just being realistic. I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed.

It's February and momentum is starting to build. The combine will happen and then we will start hearing it in earnest.

There's just no way they can pass on him and start their tenure that way. They won't pick Geno because the fans want them to, they will pick Geno because they are brilliant football people that know that is how good teams are built.
