So aquire Smith and draft Joeckel huh?
Is it too early to start a thread on who we want for Head Coach in 2015 ? |

He made that perfectly clear when he accused the fans of booing an injured Matt Cassel even though it NEVER ACTUALLY HAPPENED. Eric Winston is not, and never will be, a Kansas City Chief. |
Quote:
Chiefs fans hate Winston and will pretty much use anything as an excuse to wish injury on him. |

Evidently Eric Winston didn't understand the job description when he signed his contract.

But that's pretty much where the similarities stop. |
So this isn't really a story or even a rumor with any credibility...

It's Ian Rapaport embellishing a comment from Trent Dilfer. |
Draft Geno, sign Vince Young, draft another QB in later rounds.

No, a real fan loves all players unconditionally. Even when those players treat that fan like ****ing dogshit. Right, B14ckmon? |

It hasn't happened. Push your cow back in. |
I don't take this report seriously, but the amount of people lining up to suck off Alex Smith is amazing. He was awful for 5 years before Harbaugh came. Even with Harbaugh Smith was only a marginal system quarterback, and he isn't bringing the system with him. The Chiefs should want no part of this loser.

**** Herman the Munster.....Alex Smith sucks....... |

Lets' see...Montana, Grbac, Bono
Why not ANOTHER 49'er castoff? |
Reids courtship of Alex Smith last year could have easily have been see what his interest to be Vicks backup would be. They didn't give Vick the contract he got only to replace him a year later. If that is the case that kinda says what Reid thinks of Smith.

Yeah, if I were Andy Reid, I'd like Smith too.....he's made his job easier in the past:

Scenarios like what happened in SF with Smith and Kaepernick happen like once every 10 years. The last time it happened before this year was with Bledsoe and Brady and in that case, Bledsoe got his rib cage crushed before he lost his job. |

The city I MOVED to in Iowa is still bigger than Fargo. |
Two key points.
1. Reid loves to pass the ball. Loves, loves, loves it. If the Chiefs get Alex Smith, Smith won't be protected by the BS game management strategy. He'll sink or he'll swim. While Reid hasn't had the most sparkly history picking QBs, I think he knows the difference between a good one and a bad one. 2. Even if Reid pursued Alex Smith last year, he didn't have the #1 pick. He also drafted Nick Foles. Not worried in the least. Even if they do get Alex Smith, I don't see him lasting very long. |

Alex Smith may be a fine QB, but I just don't get this strategy at all. Unless Brandon Albert has a seriously bum back it seems like a real waste of a number one pick to trade him for a new OT. Although I guess the new guy would be cheaper I'm not sure exactly what that has to do with winning championships.

Trent Dilfer did highly recomend that the Chiefs sign Priest Holmes when they interviewed him for the QB postion. They should of asked him his opinion of Michael Turner.

All these threads and articles need to be re-labeled something like "without speaking to anyone, media guy conjects that Reid might be interested in Alex Smith".

There's just no way they can pass on him and start their tenure that way. They won't pick Geno because the fans want them to, they will pick Geno because they are brilliant football people that know that is how good teams are built. |

I trust Reid and Dosey based on past history. If they get Alex Smith I'll trust thei judgement but I'll be bummed out about not getting Geno at the same time.
|
**** all this shit. I can't wait to make a Geno spoof where a ghostly Donovan McNabb tells him to go to the Dagboah system, and he arrives and crashes his X-Wing fighter to discover AndYoda in the swamps of KC.
