Last week gave a pretty good picture of what a miserable life most of these people must lead. Even the good guy of the story knows he's leveraging the hell out of an otherwise good person and make her whore herself out at the cost of her dignity and risk of her life.

It's just a dark, seedy, shitty world all of them occupy.

And yeah, it would strain the show's credibility to expect us to believe that a guy that had become one of the heads of the KGB's blackest outfits doesn't realize that the secretary that was blowing him when someone told him that the codes had been changed (who showed interest in him completely out of nowhere) is the mole.

It's either her or the guy that actually called off the op and that sure seems unlikely.

The show's asking its audience to be pretty intelligent and would now be expecting us to be pretty stupid if we're to believe that he isn't onto this girl.

She's dead or extracted within 2 weeks.

Finally caught the episode. The whipping wasn't all that nice but I had to laugh at the 2 pump chump. Keri Russel is so hot there is no way I could beat her.

Quite. It was pretty funny in the context of a TV show, but it would be pretty horrid in real life. I think it will be an effective tool to add to the show, but damn, that sucks. The hilarious part was he was going to work on her after some other dude ****ed her.


The episode on the whole was really good, I thought. They did a nice job of throwing haymakers without dramatically altering the plot line.

Surprised this show isn't getting more praise. The season finale was pretty fantastic and the season overall was good as well. I'm excited for next season.

I thought it was awesome. His reticence to bring his daughter into the spy game juxtaposed against him using someone slightly older than his daughter in the spy game.

This season is going to be good.

I'm surprised they managed to keep Nina's character in the story line (happy about it though because that bitch is fine).

Oh, I thought it was awesome too. But the sadness comes from the juxtaposition of trying to protect his own daughter and imagining what he's going to have to do to turn that poor girl.

Elizabeth never breaks. That is a stone cold bitch for mother Russia. She's views her entire existence as an assignment in hell for the greater good. Phillip thinks there is a reality to the life they've created.

Elizabeth would kill Paige with her bare hands and fold her up in plastic if the mission called for it. She'd probably do the same to Phillip if need be.

I would agree with that in the past, but she is beginning to show cracks this season. The legitimate bonding between Phillip and Paige is really starting to get to her.

I also think Phillip would kill her in a heartbeat if Elizabeth broaches the spy subject before he feels she is ready to at least have the conversation.

I guess it means what you mean by crack, as a spy or as a parent.

I see Elizabeth as a spy who happens to have kids. I see Phillip much more ambivalent in each camp inside the home, though he is resolutely a spy outside the home.

Definitely as a parent.

Both Phillip and Elizabeth are great spies. The question is when does the home life boil over and prevent them from being good spies (for me at least). Or when does Phillip decide to embrace the "easy American" life with his kids and defect.
