Additionally, while he isn't Willis in coverage, he is better than Belcher IMO.

Well, he got banned from DraftPLanet and was bitching about it. Additionally, everyone called him out for lying about his "sources" and their credibility.

I like to think I played a little part by linking him to an article by Bucky Brooks, the scout BlackBob proclaimed was the only one he'd listen to and the scout he said trashed Geno.

He does have Crohns disease, though. Hasn't ever kept him off the field though.

RunKC 11-28-2012 06:26 PM

He is a hell of a hitter as seen by this play.

I hope he would be able to stay on the field though and not get in trouble off the field. Maybe DJ, Berry and Flowers could help. They are good influences.

pest somewhat banned him from draft planet.

He cried like a bitch when sorterclowned him on Bucky Brooks.

He thought Corey chavous was a scout and he wasn't.

No offense, but those kind of hits drive me crazy. On the first two, he didn't wrap up at all. He just put a shoulder into a guy instead of tackling him. Guys don't always go down on those hits. And on the third, he finally wrapped up but seemed proud to get a personal foul in the process.

Yeah but maybe, just maybe not being on a team entirely populated by criminals will help him learn to harness it in a good way :)

I'm not a big fan of the guy, but I don't see how we could pass him up considering what we have.

It would help if we had a true vet leader to help him get with the program, but if he comes in and keeps acting like a Raider, dump his ass. Its not like we spent a high draft pick on him and need to invest much in him.

ROFL if you think Rolando McClain would have any significant impact on this team losing games. That's like accusing Belcher of being the catalyst for this abortion of a season.

Those are LBs that a new HC and GM would love to have.

The Chiefs will never claim him. I think the Chiefs boycott defensive players that actually play with intensity and anger. I'd love to have a hard hitting asshole in the middle of our defense, even if he gets the occasional penalty for some hits.

The charges against him were dropped. Which makes me think that part of the reason he's being sent walking his attitude. The new management is not going to let the inmates run the asylum like the old guy did.

Oh wait, yeah this probably will happen and then the Chiefs won't put a claim in on him.

Then again, Scott did say he'd need 53 guys off the street in order to win 2 games, so maybe this would be part of his master plan.

I think the guy plays his role well, but that he is a limited ceiling type guy that needs to do all the little things exceptionally to stick as a long term starter and hasn't really improved over 2010 and in some ways has regressed (like the rest of the team has)

he is an average starter. It's not like he is terrible, he is just limited because of his measurables. It's not like defenses need stars at every position and his is probably the least important of all in this defense.

I think he is a good "banger" but that he has reached his ceiling in that role and that a player like Rolando is a clear upgrade because of his footmall acumen and size upgrade.

If you look at all of Pioli's personnel **** ups, you have to come to the conclusion that he is doing it on purpose. I fully believe that Pioli will pass on McClain. If he is claimed, somebody else will have forced it upon Pioli or it will have been a complete accident.

Rolando's got some fans. Bit of an immaturity problem, but possibly could grow up with a change of scenery. Big, strong, smart, but missing something that makes a complete adult. Hits like a freight train when he feels like it. Gave up on Oaktown which is why his playing time was reduced. Look at him whiff on 3rd &1 (20 second mark): http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-h...als-highlights Doubt that he could make the KC defense any worse.... might actually make it better. Looks like Rihanna might have to get a red jersey.

Agree entirely. He isn't going to make this defense worse. Worst case scenario, he provides an upgrade as a 1/2-down run defender who brings some hits/blows up blockers for DJ. He's more athletic, stronger and quicker IMO than becher with better instincts and is better in coverage, specifically in recognition and coming up from hs drops to make plays. Absolutely struggles in man coverage but I don't think e'd be asked to do that here. I'm not advocating we play him like Bowman and have him in on all our passing subs, but he'd definitely be a positive addition in our base front IMO.

htismaqe 11-29-2012 07:12 AM

He said he was looking forward to playing for an actual "team".

That rules out KC, where "team" is spelled P-I-O-L-I.
