The Vikings continue to try to shore up their secondary by picking up CB Patrick Stoudamire, Western Illinois.

The Franchise 04-02-2010 12:59 PM

The Eagles add some depth to their offensive line.

The Philadelphia Eagles select Ted Larsen, C, North Carolina State University

BigChiefFan 04-02-2010 01:05 PM

Saints select OLB, Clemson, Kavell Conner

doomy3 04-02-2010 01:43 PM

The Panthers select Blair White, WR, Michigan State. This is an NFL ready receiver who was first team All-Big Ten after walking on at MSU. He could be a productive slot for the Panthers.

Can someone PM whoever is up? I'm on my phone.

BigChiefFan 04-02-2010 02:16 PM

Jaguars select C, Hawaii, John Estes

doomy3 04-02-2010 03:04 PM

The Panthers select Brandon Banks, KR, Kansas State. He is listed as a WR, but will be purely a kick returner to start off. He's tiny, so who knows if he will be able to hold up, but he was a premier returner in college. Plus, his special teams coach during his most productive year at KSU is now the special teams coach in Carolina. This is a pick that could really happen.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-02-2010 05:02 PM

The New England Patriots select Kade Weston, NT, Georgia

Wilfork is most likely gone after this year, and although Brace will be his replacement, there's little behind him. He's got the body type that you need to two gap, which is the most important thing for this defense.

The Franchise 04-02-2010 05:02 PM

All he needed to last was one more GD pick. ****!

The Franchise 04-02-2010 05:15 PM

The San Francisco 49ers select Ekom Udofia, NT, Stanford

Franklin was re-signed in the offseason but the 49ers need depth behind him.

BossChief 04-02-2010 05:57 PM

Steelers draft

Rolando McClain
Amari Spivey
Torell Troup
Dan Lefevour
Vince Oghobaase
Antonio Coleman
Micah Johnson
Thomas Austin

Atlanta Draft

Sean Witherspoon
(Tony Gonzales)
Jacoby Ford
Syd'Quan Thompson
Anthony Dixon
Tony Moeaki
Aaron Pettrey

To me, that's a pretty decent haul.

Mecca 04-02-2010 06:28 PM

Deez Pmed me telling me he'd be out giving me his picks for the time being, end of the 6th round looking for some good value here...

The Titans value speed and playmakers...so with that said and the huge load that was put on Chris Johnson last year the Titans select.

LaMarcus Coker, RB, Hampton

Coker also has return ability, he was once a big time prospect at Tennessee but got dismissed for repeatedly failing drug tests. He's reportedly turned his life around and is doing well so he's well work the risk.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-02-2010 07:29 PM

This guy has the ability to challenge for a starting spot on this defense. He'll never be an all-pro, but he was a productive college player with a good mix of physical attributes.

The St. Louis Rams select Keaton Kristick, OLB, Oregon State

He was one our better LBs over the last few years. He is very quick and has good instincts. I think he will be an OLB in a 4-3 but isn't going to be big enough to be an ILB in a 3-4. His problem is his size. If he was 15 lbs heavier, he would be projected to go a lot higher.

I think Kristick will start out as a really good special teams player who could eventually work his way into a starter.

Reaper16 04-03-2010 01:05 AM

One of you twats should take Joique Bell soon.

Didn't Wilfork just get a brand new long term deal? What makes you think he's gone after this year?

Actually, he did. I knew they franchised him, I was unaware that they reached a long term agreement.

Honestly, I probably still make that pick at the end of the sixth. I've already added multiple pass rushers to the Pats, given them OL, RB, and help in the secondary.

They could still use a Ted backer, but I've got a lot of ammo in the 7th to take shots on certain guys, and the value never matched up with the board for a #2 WR.

Yeah, yeah, they have identical size. Bell is much quicker than Williams. It is the difference between Williams being an 7th-UDFA range guy from last year's draft and Bell being a 5th-6th range guy.

Similar size
Similar speed
Tons of mileage.

I'll take your word for quickness in small areas, though.

Personally, I'm always very hesitant about drafting backs that have had 1000+ carries in college. He has over 1200 touches.

It's obviously less of a risk than taking guys higher in the draft, but if you look at the track records of backs who shouldered heavy loads in college:

Ricky Williams
Ron Dayne
Cedric Benson
Archie Griffin

They all had disappointing pro careers (although Benson and Williams had moments of great ability).

I hear you with the concern about carries. That is my largest concern with Bell, too. He's talented enough to play well in the NFL but for how long?

Marco Polo 04-03-2010 10:03 AM

The Buffalo Bills select Dennis Landolt, T, Penn State.

Archie Bunker 04-03-2010 10:25 AM

Hopefully this guy can come in and contribute in the return game and grow into a good slot receiver, I think the potential is there. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Antonio Brown, WR, Central Michigan

Mecca 04-03-2010 04:01 PM

Straight value pick here.

Michael Hoomanawanui – TE – Illinois

ChiefsCountry 04-03-2010 04:20 PM

Dolphins are going to take a flyer on potential. We really don't need a running back, so this guy can get healed up while sitting behind Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams.

Miami Dolphins select Stafon Johnson, RB, USC

****. Give me a couple of minutes and I'll have my pick.

Mr. Flopnuts 04-03-2010 07:48 PM

Well, my first choice was Crompton, my second choice was Johnson. They're both off the board, we're going to take a project pick here. This is a guy that took over the 6th week of his junior season and turned in one sensational performance after another. He was 2nd in the nation in passing this year and his conference's offensive and player of the year.

The Seahawks select Levi Brown QB out of Troy.

Sfeihc 04-03-2010 08:02 PM

The Detroit Lions select defensive end George Johnson from Rutgers.

Can someone please pm SNR for me. Thank you.

Just kidding. I was trolling this place anyway.

Here's where I have no ****ing idea how good players are at this point. My draft knowledge and college football awareness just doesn't go this deep. However, this prospect looks pretty promising, though. Good size and speed. A perfect Raiders pick.

The Oakland Raiders select Joe Webb, WR, UAB

SNR, that's who it came down to for me with the Lions was Johnson and Webb. Great pick. Sorry about not sending you a PM I was out-of-the-pocket for the last day. Just had phone access and I can't send PM's from it.:)

I'm glad to see I've made at least a couple decent picks and haven't made a giant tool out of myself. Thanks for the assurance.

The NYG select cornerback Crezdon Butler from Clemson. That's it for the G-men.

1)B. Graham DE
2)D. Washington LB

4)M. Petrus G
5)J. Skelton QB

doomy3 04-05-2010 04:22 PM

Well, this guy will never be here this late in the real draft, and he adds some nice depth at all three of the interior line positions. He was banged up a lot at USC, but we'll see if he can stay healthy. The Panthers select Jeff Byers, C/G, USC.

The Franchise 04-05-2010 04:29 PM

The San Francisco 49ers select Andre Anderson, RB, Tulane.

The Franchise 04-05-2010 04:33 PM

The Niners are done.

1- Joe Haden, CB, Florida
1- Earl Thomas, FS, Texas
2- Brandon Spikes, ILB, Florida
3- John Jerry, OG, Mississippi
4- Kyle Calloway, OT, Iowa
5- Jordan Shipley, WR, Texas
6- Jonathan Crompton, QB, Tennessee
6- Ekom Udofia, NT, Stanford
7- Andre Anderson, RB, Tulane

Direckshun 04-05-2010 04:36 PM

I was pissed you took Crompton.

I think Haden/Thomas is a really weird first round. Other than that, this varies from pretty good to eh depending on the pick.

Well looking back....I took Spikes before he ran his 40 at his pro day....so I could have waited to take him. If that was the case...I would have grabbed a LT in the 2nd round.

You still need a guy who can command a double team, IMO.

In the seventh round of the 2010 NFL draft the Pittsburgh Steelers select

Derek Hardman OT Eastern Kentucky

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-06-2010 11:19 AM

Ok.

I've actually seen this guy play a lot of games. He was a 4 year starter who was really productive. He's a solid tackler and he has good ball skills, but he might not have the top end speed necessary for the position in the NFL. If that happens, he's Nic Harris, but I think that at worst, he could play LB in a big nickel and be a very good STer.

Again, this is a guy who can come in and compete for a starting job.

The St. Louis Rams select Barry Church, SS, Toledo

And with that horrible reach, the Texans are on the clock. They still need CB help, so they take a year starter from a major conference with decent size who might lack jets.

The Houston Texans select Jamar Wall, CB, Texas Tech

And with that horrible reach, the Texans are on the clock. Kyle Wilson may replace Dunta Robinson, but he doesn't change the fact that their LCB still sucked gallons of hog ass. This guy was a 3 year starter in a BCS conference, had 11 career picks, and broke up a ton of passes. He's a little on the small side, so he might not be able to match up against physical receivers, but he can play the slot.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-06-2010 11:44 AM

The Pats could still use help on the edges. They missed out on Decker earlier, and with Welker's injury, there is a lack of depth. I don't trust Sam Aiken or Julian Edelman, but this guy has a ton of upside, good speed, and great height, but he's built like a stick.

He's gonna need to learn the route tree, but if he can put on 20 pounds, this guy can be good.

The New England Patriots select Stephen Williams, WR, Toledo

Mecca is on the clock.

Mecca 04-06-2010 01:43 PM

Green Bay selects...

Junior Gallette, OLB, Stillman

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-06-2010 02:20 PM

New England secretly has pretty shitty special teams. I drafted Thomas Morestead for them last year, and he turned out pretty damned good for the Saints.

They need someone who can do far better than the Ax Man, Chris Hanson. This guy averaged almost 43 yards per kick over his career and almost 46 last year.

The New England Patriots select Matt Dodge, P, East Carolina

Marco Polo 04-06-2010 07:45 PM

I know its a faux pas but I only have my blackberry and don't have access to my normal internet. Someone draft the BA kicker and move on.
