Dewey: Who the hell are you? The undertaker? (laughs)

Raylan: Well, I may just be undertakin' the situation right here.....

And I think the guy that plays Devil is the same guy that plays Terry on True Blood....

Good Grief, Ava needs to turn on Rayland. I would love to see a Rayland vs. Harlan type of situation in season 2.

To each his own. You'll be missing out on a great show that has none of the "bad acting" you are talking about.

noa 05-19-2010 07:48 PM

Pretty solid episode. "The Hammer" was a good character, and I like where they are going with the Boyd vs. Raylan stuff.

Just watched the last episode....good stuff...in fact, the last few episodes have been outstanding.

Continuity storyline really starting to kick in.

Love the depth and quirkiness they give the secondary characters from week to week.

This just keeps getting better and better. The plotlines are getting really good and I love the tension between Boyd and his Dad. What looks to be serious heat.

Another great EP this week leading up to the finale next week. Looks like things are really heating up with the Crowder clan.

They have to have something planned for Boyd. The relgious terrorist bit is funny though. I can't wait to see the heat between him and his old man next week.

True, they are both hot in their own way, BUT 'Winona's way' is to be brutally, blazingly, mind-meltingly hot. Hard to go wrong with that 'way.'

all those poor congested residents of Arlen.

The last ten minutes were perfect. It will be great to see if the focus is shifted to the Miami problem or still with the Crowder family, even though it doesn't look good for them after last night.

As good as Walton Goggins is, and he's great, I just didn't really buy his character's turnaround.

This. But he IS great. Damn near stolen the show. I feel ashamed of wanting his character dead after the first few weeks. I was praying that in the blood bath of last night they would not kill him off in a season ender.

Id say all of it was. My guess is, they dont even start filming season 2 episodes for another month or two.

keg in kc 10-21-2010 09:05 PM

Season two's big bad, according to James Hibbard of the Hollywood Reporter:
Quote:

'Lost' vet Jeremy Davies joins 'Justified'

October 21
James Hibberd

Exclusive: Lost physicist Jeremy Davies is joining FX's neo-Western Justified.

Davies is joining the show's season two cast in a heavily recurring role as a nemesis to Timothy Olyphant's U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens.

The setup is certainly intriguing: Davies plays "Dickie Bennett," the smartest of three brothers and a high school rival of Givens. Since Prohibition, the Bennett and Givens families have warred like the Hatfields and McCoys. Dickie's family traffics in weed, for which Bennett spent time in prison. He still walks with a limp due to an altercation with Raylan on the baseball field when they were both 17.

Best known to TV fans from his role as ever-distracted physicist Daniel Faraday on Lost, the Untitled Entertainment-repped Davies has an impressive list of theatrical credits including Saving Private Ryan, Rescue Dawn and Solaris.

Justified makes its return in February with 13 episodes.

irishjayhawk 10-21-2010 09:07 PM

Oh wow, that might get me to watch. I'm a fan of Davies'.

I didn't care for the pilot much, maybe I should give it another shot.

keg in kc 10-21-2010 09:12 PM

Taken as a whole, I'm not sure it wasn't the best new show on the air in 2010 (including Terriers). It's worth watching beginning to end, even if the pilot didn't resonate.

Cable tv show seasons are usually shorter than shows on network TV. They dont spread them out with repeats as well.

Yeah, there's got to be something more there. No way they take as exhilarating a character as Boyd and say 'oh, he's just Joe Lunchpail now.'

Maybe some extracurricular detonations.

She was on there last season, but kind of disappeared later in the season.

Love the Pot/Moonshine momma as a villian. Thats something different.

As for Boyd, i think hes just gonna hang around for awhile and basically be a story decoy...just because hes such a great character.

Later in the season he might turn again...whos knows?
