Most Big 10 basketball is pretty good.
Regrettably it's Wisconsin that drags that conference down and gives the conference a bad name for exceptionally boring basketball. Bo Ryan is the Carl Peterson of basketball coaches. The university will always let him have the job, and the Badgers will always play shitty basketball that "just wins". Thankfully I was a Jayhawks fan before I moved up here. |
really excited to see KU's Ben McLemore.
Guy's gonna be a star THere are some big IF's on this team....like Withey's offensive production, Perry Ellis ability to hit the ground running, and whether EJ can run the point or not. If they all can...and do it well, this Kansas team will be a final 4 team (again) |

Rock Chalkin' it baby. How are we there EVERY year? 24 straight trips to the tourney, 14 final fours, most tournament wins in last 5 years, most championship game appearances in last 10 years, 5 national titles overall, 8 straight conference championships. Come on man! Why? I'll tell you why. Because we're mother f'in' bosses that's why. :)
Gonna be a fun season again. |

Top 25 College Basketball games before 12/25
The college basketball season gets underway Friday. (I'm sure you've heard.) And this really might be the most interesting opening day we've had in a while, considering 10 of the nation's top 11 teams will be in action, thanks to a slate of games highlighted by the reigning national champs in Brooklyn and two national title-winning coaches working against each other on an aircraft carrier. But it doesn't stop there. Next Tuesday night is also big. The week of Thanksgiving will be too. So what I've decided to do is provide a document you can print out, tape up and look at whenever you're wondering when the next big game will be played. Seriously, just print this out. Let's call it Top 25 before 12/25. That means this list will get us through Christmas. We'll just figure out the rest after Santa Claus comes and goes. NOTE: This list only includes scheduled games, meaning it doesn't include possible second- or third-round matchups in early season tournaments. Put another way, I realize the title game of the Battle for Atlantis will be terrific regardless of who plays. But we don't know who will play. So that game between undetermined opponents isn't listed. And so on and so forth. Nov. 9: Lehigh at No. 19 Baylor Can C.J. McCollum do to Scott Drew this week what he did to Mike Krzyzewski last March? Nov. 9: North Texas at No. 16 Creighton Tony Mitchell vs. Doug McDermott should lure a few NBA scouts to Omaha. Nov. 9: No. 2 Kentucky vs. Maryland in Brooklyn John Calipari's inexperienced Wildcats get their first test on a big stage up north. Nov. 11: No. 20 San Diego State vs. No. 9 Syracuse in San Diego The season's first matchup of ranked teams will take place on an aircraft carrier. Nov. 13: No. 2 Kentucky vs. No. 8 Duke in Atlanta And their second test is on an even bigger stage down south. Nov. 13: No. 7 Kansas vs. No. 14 Michigan State in Atlanta The undercard of the Champions Classic isn't bad, either. Nov. 19: No. 13 UCLA vs. Georgetown in Brooklyn The Bruins vs. the Hoyas should be good ... with or without Shabazz Muhammad (almost certainly without). Nov. 22: No. 17 Memphis vs. Virginia Commonwealth in the Bahamas Josh Pastner vs. Shaka Smart provides a matchup of two rising stars of the sport. Nov. 22: No. 8 Duke vs. Minnesota in the Bahamas It'll be interesting to see if the Blue Devils can handle Trevor Mbakwe. Nov. 27: No. 11 North Carolina at No. 1 Indiana James Michael McAdoo and Cody Zeller will face each other here, then again in the NBA someday. Nov. 27: No. 6 North Carolina State at No. 5 Michigan Special shout-out to the ACC-Big Ten Challenge for giving us Lorenzo Brown vs. Trey Burke. Nov. 28: No. 4 Ohio State at No. 8 Duke Can't wait to see what the Cameron Crazies have in store for Aaron Craft. Nov. 29: No. 3 Kentucky at No. 22 Notre Dame This will be the first time the Wildcats play in a hostile environment. Nov. 30: No. 9 Syracuse at Arkansas A trip to Bud Walton Arena will remind Jim Boeheim why he'd rather avoid November road games. Dec. 1: No. 20 San Diego State vs. No. 13 UCLA in Anaheim Will Shabazz Muhammad be playing by the time this game rolls around? Probably not. Dec. 1: No. 19 Baylor at No. 3 Kentucky Perhaps Isaiah Austin can go to Lexington and upstage UK's freshmen stars. Dec. 5: No. 10 Florida at No. 25 Florida State This won't resonate like the football rivalry, but it'll still be nice. Dec. 8: No. 23 Wisconsin at Marquette Bo (Ryan) and Buzz (Williams) make this one of the nation's best non-conference rivalries. Dec. 15: No. 2 Louisville at No. 17 Memphis Might this be a preview of a future Big East tournament championship game? Dec. 15: No. 1 Indiana vs. Butler in Indianapolis Brad Stevens vs. the Hoosiers is something I think everybody would like to see every year. Dec. 15: West Virginia vs. No. 5 Michigan in Brooklyn It's John Beilein's old school against John Beilein's new school. Dec. 15: No. 10 Florida at No. 12 Arizona Patric Young banging with Arizona's young bigs should be interesting. Dec. 15: Alabama at Virginia Commonwealth Anthony Grant returns to Richmond, where he'll probably be an underdog. Dec. 19: No. 24 Cincinnati vs. Xavier in Cincinnati No punches this time, please. Dec. 22: No. 7 Kansas at No. 4 Ohio State I should be able to be in Columbus for this showdown and make it back home for Christmas, no problem. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebask...s-before-12-25 |

First it was me, now it's the entire KU fan base. I can't speak for the entire fanbase. But I can assure you that I never said Sadler was a good coach. But, keep backtracking. Schmuck. |
billay, there is a search function.
Just type in Doc Sadler and the world is at your fingertips. |
Quote:
BTW your coach used to coach in the B1G and Kansas St. hired a coach who was fired from a B1G school. Tell us more about how shitty the B1G is. |
Quote:
READ MOTHER****ER. Do you know how? You keep saying me (or I) specifically said Sadler was a good coach. I'm still waiting on proof of the accusation. |

Don't expect me to link that though. You guys can use the search function yourselves. |
I like Doc Sadler though. He looks as if he could be Eddie Suttons illegitimate drunk son.
|
I must have mistaken CJ for another beaker but there was a lot of them praising Doc Sadler.

Since billay indirectly apologized I will keep the KU bball talk to the KU repository thread.
Anyone with any super, super early F4 predictions? |
Quote:

I don't have a problem with KU talk in here but why pretend like the B1G sucks we both know that isn't true.
Final 4 predictions: Louisville, Indiana, Kentucky, Arizona. |

Phog.net loved Doc. Said he was a great "x's and o's" guy.
On this board, ROY praised Doc as much as he praised Rich Scanlon. |

I just laid into Billay because he specifically said he was a "great coach." When clearly I didn't. |

Will Clyburn will be a great SF this year, and Korie Lucious will be a very good PG. http://i.ytimg.com/vi/VE_YvvYEHdA/mqdefault.jpg Fred Hoiberg is building something special at Iowa State. |
I really really with Royce White would have came back one more year, Iowa State would be a final four team. Now its just a tournament team this year again.. but hopefully not matched up with the #1 team round two.
Top three finish in the Big12. |
I'm ready, tomorrow night can't get here soon enough.

Thamel - Georges Niang, Iowa State:
Early buzz from Iowa State practice is that freshman forward Georges Niang is already the Cyclones' best player. A natural scorer with a deft touch, polished mid-range game and solid range, expect the 6-7 Niang to win Big 12 Freshman of the Year and score bushels of points during his career in Ames. Niang's only issue is his sloppy body, as he's done a poor job ridding himself of baby fat. Consider this: Niang was the MVP of his prep school team, which featured Nerlens Noel as its star center. |

Even with Royce, ISU isn't a FF team this year. Sweet Sixteen maybe.
|
Iowa state is maybe sweet 16 without him(MAYBE). Clyburn would have been the best player on last years team, and Lucious would have been third right behind Royce. Actually having a PG this year will be huge.
|
Mo State will be young, but they should be fun to watch with the speed and athleticism they brought in.
|
RustShack may be right; but nobody will ever believe anything he has to say because he goes FULL HOMER every time for ISU. Just tone it down a bit man.
