That video is awesome.

I've found that the 9 foot jump and the fall any height augs are very good for stealth.

LOL @ that gif.

The version where you don't have augs sounds interesting. I'm guessing you have to be a lot more combat ready than just trying to get by using stealth.

repost, sorry surfer didn't look up Lolz.

Is there an augmentation that will recharge more than just the first energy cell? I've gotten the first level of the fast recharge and an extra energy cell, but the first energy cell is still the only one that will recharge on its own. Is that just the way it is?

That's what I was wondering. I just got done with the first mission and put my 1st three points into the radar and the leg augs (I'm working towards silent walking and running). That one energy cell recharge was annoying. I guess you just gotta stock up on those energy bars.

Unfortunately not. I have mine fully upgraded and this disappointed me.

Yeah, that's the lamest thing in the game.

I'm assuming you can buy energy bars, though, right? You can eat one and it will recharge you. At least the few that I found during the first mission did...

This game looks like it's going to be amazing.

Hammock Parties 09-15-2011 04:00 PM

You can buy them but you'll get them more often by looking around in desk drawers and stuff.

For the most part I haven't bought anything. Maybe once or twice. I just beat the 2nd boss. Not sure how far I am in the game.

You find a lot of them. Although, I do meticulously search every room in every building, so if you don't do that, maybe you won't find a lot.

Sweet.

P.S. What was the hand with the globe a reference to?

There are power bars, boxes, and even jugs all stashed around. I've only found one jug though.. it replaced 4 energy bars on my meter. Explore around - moved objects in the world and reveal vents and jazz.. I'm sure I'm stating the obvious.
I also encourage to save often and multiple save files.. That way you can **** with the AI and view awesome fight animations against the weaker foes :)

The secret Majestic 12 base under the VersaLife building in the original Deus Ex had a similar hand/globe at the entrance.

Finally finished this last night. Great game. Loved the videos for the different endings. Very well put together.

Ahhh. I can't believe you remember that. I had no idea what it was.

Finally got around to finishing this after putting it on the shelf last year. One of the finest games I've played in a very long time. Right up there with RDR.

Hammock Parties 12-15-2012 07:38 PM

Dane, can you shed any light on these names?

Film adaptation

On 12 July 2012, it was announced that a film adaptation based on the game was being planned by Eidos Montreal and CBS Films, who secured the film rights to the game.[42]

On 15 November 2012, it was announced that Scott Derrickson would be directing the film, together with co-writing the script with C. Robert Cargill, who also worked with Derrickson on Sinister.
