NJChiefsFan 03-01-2013 12:39 AM

I'm just not a huge Barkley guy and I honestly have started to like Fisher more over the past month.

NJChiefsFan 03-01-2013 12:39 AM

Yeah I PM'd the next guy. I follow directions.

JK.

chiefscafan 03-01-2013 12:48 AM

No I'm against drafting an OT but I'd rather have fisher than jokel I still think jokel is gonna be a bust.

Need meets BPA. If you need a QB you dont draft one you dont like just because you need one. Only one available worth drafting that high.

Well I am not sure he will be a bust but I do like Fisher more. If Geno was there it would have been an easy decision for Arizona, although that's off the record.

ArrowheadMagic 03-01-2013 12:51 AM

Wish Lane Johnson played up to his potential, but he is 4 years removed from being a QB.

KCrockaholic 03-01-2013 01:17 AM

Just want to point out that I have the Bears and Ravens.

I assumed you had just renamed the Ravens in your honor.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-01-2013 07:36 AM

Really like the Chiefs pick. I would've gone Milliner, but I like the kid quite a bit. You can't have enough pass rush though, and there are going to be some options in FA and later in this draft to strengthen your backfield. We need a top 5 D in KC to pair with Alex Smith. Dion helps do that, even though I hate the ****ing Ducks.

Mother****erJones 03-01-2013 08:00 AM

Dion can really be a versatile defender although he's 6'6"

chiefscafan 03-01-2013 09:07 AM

Sorry KC fixed it

Ok just waiting for next pick

Think it's interesting that some talent is sliding

saphojunkie 03-01-2013 10:24 AM

The Buffalo Bills select Matt Barkley, QB, USC

RyFo18 03-01-2013 10:45 AM

At 1.9, the New York Jets select Shariff Floyd, DT, Florida

If D'Brickashaw Ferguson didn't have a huge gtd $ contract, we'd look to add Joeckel here. Floyd will have a strong presence that can be moved all over our Defensive line. We're ecstatic to see him here at #9. Our head coach Rex Ryan comments, "He has really, really good feet."

Easy pick for the OL needy chargers. No brainer here;

The chargers select OT from Texas A&M, Luke Joeckel. And rivers is the happiest man in San Diego.

chiefscafan 03-01-2013 02:35 PM

With the 12th pick in first round the Miami Dolphins select

DE Ziggy Ansah Brigham Young University

Need someone opposite Cameron Wake to add pressure. Maybe too early but Ansah has tremendous potential. I thought he was worth the gamble.

Direckshun 03-01-2013 02:57 PM

I'd say that's fair value for Ansah. He could end up being a top ten pick.

RyFo18 03-01-2013 03:15 PM

We would have taken him at 9 if Floyd wasn't there.

Buffalo just got the best quarterback in the draft.

Sanka 03-01-2013 06:52 PM

Apologizes for the delay and now on with the show....

With the 13th selection of the 2013 CP ALT Mock draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Ofensive Tackle from Oklahoma Lane Johnson.

The Carolina Newtons are now on the clock

Did you PM Magic?

ArrowheadMagic 03-01-2013 07:15 PM

With the 14th pick of the CP ALT draft the Carolina Panthers select...

Star Lotulelei DT UTAH

Basing this completely off the fact that he was just dehydrated and will test healthy in Salt Lake City next week. Carolina ,7-9 last year, with only 5 picks and having to release players to get under the cap, have plenty of needs.

The top run stuffer in the draft fills the most glaring of those. Building the defense from the inside out, gives potential protection to let Kuechly run free. While WR,CB,S, another DT and OL are still needs, a healthy Star is worth the risk.

ArrowheadMagic 03-01-2013 07:17 PM

Pm'd Bevischief

NJChiefsFan 03-01-2013 07:19 PM

OCity is ahead of me on both my picks, in the first round at least. Interesting.

NJChiefsFan 03-01-2013 07:21 PM

Two of the guys mocked to us have gone 11 and 14. I wonder if this is a sign of their fall to come in real life or if we are consciously or unconsciously trying to get back at them.

If Star is healthy, he probably moves back into the top 8 again. Fisher and Johnson probably catch Joeckel in private workouts. All probably gone by 11.

bevischief 03-01-2013 08:03 PM

Jarvis Jones OLB Georgia

PutQuinnIn 03-01-2013 09:18 PM

ST. Louis Rams selects

OG Chance Warmack Alabama

Mother****erJones 03-01-2013 09:26 PM

With the 17th pick the Pittsburgh Steelers select CB Desmond Trufant Wasington

chiefscafan 03-01-2013 09:32 PM

Kind of early for Trufant but he is good

Remember to pm next person

Mother****erJones 03-01-2013 09:32 PM

NJChiefsFan 03-02-2013 05:30 PM

The New York Giants Select:

DE/DT, Sheldon Richardson, Missouri

NJChiefsFan 03-02-2013 05:31 PM

I PM'd CHI and DAL.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-02-2013 05:35 PM

I was worried about some of the guys signing up that don't post a lot or at least don't post a lot about the draft. OCity does both. Not much you can do to guard against a good poster not paying attention.

Not blaming anyone, just saying I've seen this happen before. Oh well, worst case scenario is Argo can turn it into a Survivor thread. ;)

I actually never entered that thread, even as big as it was.

O.city 03-02-2013 06:03 PM

My bad guys, been out of commission today. Cowboys need safety help, with their pick, Kenny Vacarro.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-02-2013 06:03 PM

Cool. Back on track. No harm, no foul.

KCrockaholic 03-02-2013 06:47 PM

The Chicago Bears Select: WR, Cordarrelle Patterson, Tennessee

Forget the tiny hands, the Chicago Bears are taking one of the most electric receivers in the country right here.

The guy played WR, HB, KR, and PR. With Devin Hester leaving this off-season, Patterson can step in and contribute as the return man. And will also fit in with Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jefferey. Jay Cutler has all the weapons necessary to be successful now.

The Bears had a few options here, but finding a playmaker like Cordarrelle in the later rounds won't be possible.

The Giants always get studs for their D-line. I love this pick.

sfchief 03-02-2013 06:54 PM

Got it give me min

sfchief 03-02-2013 09:00 PM

The Bengals select Alec Ogletree, LB
Georgia

Would have liked for Vaccaro to fall but not worth trading
up with the safety depth in this draft Burfict can move MLB and Ogletree to WLB
Maualuga can go to the bench

sfchief 03-02-2013 09:09 PM

PutQuinnIn pm'd

chiefscafan 03-02-2013 09:13 PM

Good pick sf chiefs

KurtCobain 03-02-2013 09:17 PM

I ran the alt mock in 2011, was not easy and was not fun. Would not attempt again. Props to our commish.

would probably be easier to run the official mock since it has people who do it every year and know how to work together

sfchief 03-02-2013 09:18 PM

thanks, Lewis will take chances on guys like this and make it work, burfict is a great example.
Saftey and RB can come later.

KurtCobain 03-02-2013 09:19 PM

Love the bears pick.

That team is winning the north, count on it.

PutQuinnIn 03-02-2013 09:25 PM

With the 22nd pic The St. Louis Rams select

WR Kennan Allen California University

Rams need receivers he's a good one who has slipped in the first.

KurtCobain 03-02-2013 09:27 PM

Good pick as well, excellent fit with bradford. Keenan is my favorite wr in the draft.

chiefscafan 03-02-2013 09:30 PM

Thank you Argo overall it's been ok dtchiefs keeps forgetting to pm people but he appologized. Just gotta keep it on track.

I like the way this draft is unfolding.

chiefscafan 03-02-2013 09:35 PM

Love my eagles moves like how it fell I like geno which I wish the chiefs would have done.

chiefscafan 03-03-2013 08:32 AM

Ok pmd bevischief giving him till 9:30 then it blazin's turn.

bevischief 03-03-2013 08:36 AM

blazzin311 03-03-2013 01:40 PM

Dammit! I really would have loved to see Tavon Austin last one more pick so the Colts could pair him with Andrew Luck. That being said, Indy., needs help all over. I was mostly looking at D-Line, O-Line and secondary with this pick. In any case, the Indianapolis Colts select....

Jonathan Cooper OG N. Carolina

blazzin311 03-03-2013 01:43 PM

PM sent to RyFo18. Seahawks up next!

Direckshun 03-03-2013 01:50 PM

This is well run so far, folks. Props to chiefscafan.

RyFo18 03-03-2013 01:53 PM

1.25 Seahawks select Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame

Yet another weapon for Russell Wilson. Eifert is going to make this offense very tough to scheme against.

blazzin311 03-03-2013 02:28 PM

With the 26th pick in the draft, the Green Bay Packers select...

Margus "Eastern Block" Hunt DE SMU

Green Bay is going to try to make and utilize this guy much like how the Texans have done with J.J. Watt.

ArrowheadMagic 03-03-2013 02:38 PM

With the 27th pick of the draft. The Houston Texans select............

Wr DeAndre Hopkins. Clemson.

Another weapon and takes some pressure off Andre. Too high at this point for a 2 down ILB. Plus draft has good depth at other areas of need.

Will pm Argo

Sanka 03-03-2013 02:51 PM

Holy crap this draft is starting to move along quickly, I was hoping we would start the 2nd round by weekends end. It appears we just may.

chiefscafan 03-03-2013 02:58 PM

Thank you everyone just doing my job :)

KurtCobain 03-03-2013 03:17 PM

The Denver broncos select eddie lacy, running back from bama. Best rb in the draft improves an already killer offense.

I didn't like my defensive back options.

That's a very good pick in my opinion. I was very tempted to take him with Green Bay's pick.

bsp4444 03-03-2013 04:31 PM

OK, I scoured the list twice and can't believe the second best CB in the draft has fallen to the Pats who had the 29th ranked pass defense last season.
With the 29th pick of the draft, the New England Patriots select Xavier Rhodes, CB, FSU.
