Watched one episode.

Stupid, weepy, poorly written bullshit that uses 'twists' and easily telegraphed tearjerkers to disguise the fact that it's actually a really dumb show. It's just the most ham-fisted, hackneyed attempt at creating emotion I've ever seen. It's just transparently sappy.

Essentially, this is what M. Night Shyamalan would make if he were making a network chick drama. Do not watch.

But here's the thing - Mad Men is probably my favorite show of all time and 'slow burn' doesn't even do it justice. I don't even think it makes it to smolder.

And yet Mad Men had a shitload more going on than this tripe. And the pandering....God the pandering. This show is more obviously targeted at under-sexed, middle-aged housewives than Empire is to pissed off black women.

I'm insulted by its existence and distraught by its success. Honey Boo Boo doing well was less of an indictment on humanity than this abomination.
