The 60's Yul Brenner version was an adaptation of the 7 Samurai. I think that's what he means by"no". It's a remake of a remake

Dane is right about the ripoff of Seven Samurai the Akira Kurosawa epic masterpiece. You can see the whole movie on you tube. It really is good if you can stand English flashed across screen. It is better than the one I seen that dubbed English speakers over Japanese voices.

My maternal great-grandmother was born in the very late 1800's. Her and her husband had a very large farm/ranch that she helped run for decades. When he died, she sold the farm and bought property in the hills. She lived in a one room cabin with no electricity or running water because she considered them to be unnecessary luxuries. She used a Franklin stove for heat and for cooking. She drank moonshine and chewed tobacco her entire life. She had to have her nose removed when Cancer was detected there and wore a tin triangular overlay on her face with leather straps to cover the hole, which she would remove if she thought you were at all squeamish. She carried a walking stick with her at all times. Not because she needed help to walk, because she liked to hit men with it. She would also randomly lift the skirts of younger woman around her and laugh when they screamed and ran away. She was also rumored to be incredibly accurate with a pistol or rifle. She was basically like an evil version of Yoda and no one ****ed with her.

I loved the original (magnificent 7 that is, never saw the samurai one). Hope they don't screw this one up...

Not sure how I feel about remaking such an iconic classic but I do love me a western.
