That list is shit and I would feel much better about Daniel taking a spot start than most of those guys.

He's merely OK.
Most of these guys run together though. |
Yeah, I'm on the 'cut Chase' bandwagon and I still think that list is silly and mostly just lazy.
I wouldn't take 7 of those guys over Daniel: Hasselbeck, Schaub, Jackson, Hill, Ponder, Moore and Clemens. I could probably be convinced on Moore, however. Fitzpatrick, Sanchez and Glennon I'd probably take over Daniel, though Glennon's actually probably a worse player; I just like his upside. Daniel's overpaid, but he's a top 10 backup without question, IMO. |

People freak when Alex smith and Dalton get deals, but there's so much shit out there |

There's no room for merely competent football players 'round these parts. My issue with Chase is that I'm ultimately of the mind that if you lose your starter for 5 games or more, you're probably !@#$ed either way. Chase's only real benefit is in the event that Smith goes down from 1-4 games. If that's the case, maybe Chase can go in there, go 2-2 and Smith can guide them to 8-4 in the other games to get us to 10-6 and a possible playoff berth. I just think that's a pretty limited set of circumstances to justify a guy using up nearly $5 mil of cap space. |

When Sanchez and Fitzpatrick are top 2 the b/u QB's in this league are not very good right now...

The bitching about chase is stupid, he isn't going anywhere this year, he'll move in next. He can hold down the fort if AS goes down for a couple games or longer.... And I don't give a shit about the money he is making. Jesus I hate the off season....

And guys like Cutler, Palmer, Bradford and Dalton haven't shown they can win anything to date. |
Only in Chiefs QB reality is he a Top 10 back up.
Who cares if he can step right and continue to mediocre up the joint? His reps need to be going to Murray and/or Bray. |
Chase should be cut. How could anyone justify his salary as a backup!?!
