Shit, it depends on how long Peyton keeps playing. If he plays another season or two after this, he's gonna have himself quite a record by the time he's done.

Sure, Luck has a chance... but it could get ugly.

Favre had an iron man streak of games and played until he was 40, right? Favre started 291 of 302 NFL Games.

Peyton has started 242 of 246 games, and missed an entire season.

Favre was prolific, and that's what makes it crazier to digest when you figure Manning got to 510 in 49 fewer NFL games. Think about that for a bit.

Luck or whomever is destined to break the record will have a phenomenal 18-20 year career. Say he ends with 530 TDs, that's an average of 29.4 TDs for 18 years.

Crazy. Andrew has 23, 23 and now 19 TDs... so it will be interesting.

It's the only reason he's still playing and will continue to play. To get all the records / extend records etc.

Yeah and you know he wants that #2 Super Bowl ring.

Dayze 10-20-2014 08:51 AM

Actually. IMO I I think after his last to super bowl perfoances, he just said "**** this" and wants the records instead. He strikes me as that type of guy.

I usually agree with your takes brotha but this one puzzles me...

Dunno...just my fat guy gut feeling. I just get the feeling he's all about the stats at this point. (RIGGED! lol).

He's definitely all about his legacy that he's gonna leave behind. And I think that definitely includes another Super Bowl victory.

Probably Luck or Ryan, but that's the only two current players I could see doing it.

Ryan? Maybe Rodgers and Luck. It will be a while.

Rodgers is too old. He won't break it

Mannings record is bullshit because they have changed the rules. They can't change the rules every god damn year and then make the case that players are going for the same records. It is bullshit as far as I am concerned.

They haven't "changed" a single rule. All they did was enforce the rule they already had.

Who will it be?

Ask Go Chiefs and he'll tell you it will be Geno Smith...

Actually targetting defenseless players over the middle is a new rule. There used to be an unwritten rule for quarterbacks not to leave it up high for their receiver over the middle because he would literally get blown the **** up. The changes to hand jawing and hits over the middle significantly changed the game.

No doubt he's racking stats. Not sure that equates to a pro not caring about a ring. Lulz on the rigged, that dude is crazy...
