Streets of Dreams, yo

Sometime I'll have to go through the Tree of Deep Purple. Joe Lynn Turner is a prominent member. He was Yngwie Malmsteen's singer for a while.

ROFL

I used to watch "Live in Leningrad" over and over and over thinking that I might somehow be able to emulate Yngwie's technique.

Heh. Goals are good! :D

I remember watching some documentary about the making of RJD's "Hear n Aid" song We're Stars. That was a bonna fide 80's all star lineup. They get to interviewing the guitar players, and they all talked about Yngwie. They would be in the studio jamming out and sounding good, then Yngwie would come in with these crazy insane licks, and everyone would just stop, stare and laugh. Nobody could touch the speed and precision that he played with. Maybe not today, even (except that dude from Dragonforce. He's really fast).

There's tons of guys out there today that can play faster but it's all just newer techniques. They've taken what Yngwie did and made it more efficient, allowing for more notes.

He was one of the originals, can't take that away from him.

I forgot to mention -

I didn't really care for the Graham Bonnett Rainbow. I do like "Can't Happen Here" but most of it just seemed to be lacking something..
