I lived behind Bannister Mall down past blue ridge for 10 years. Hypermart was our grocery store. Clean, lots of check out lanes. Never felt threatened in the parking lots. Moved to Lees Summit in 2002. The neighborhood was still not bad at that time.

I happened to be at one of these inadvertently. I had stopped off for coffee on the Sportbike with other rider, when we saw a shit load of black kids rolling down the street. As they were walking past they were eyeing the bikes (they had been vandalizing shut the entire way down the street). As they rolled past, another biker rather large in size looked one dead in the eye and said "don't even think about it mother ****er".

I have no doubt if we weren't standing next to our shit, it would've been destroyed.

Bannister Mall was the place to be back the 80s. Pretty sad what happened there.
