One of my favorite parts of living in Colorado was going snow shoeing on cold, sunny days. It would be in the 30s, and I'd be down to my t -shirt and bibs by the end of the day. Amazing what exertion cans do.

Maybe it was just mental. Felt like the clouds gave you insulation or something.

Sun and wind: no bueno.
Sun and cold minus wind: fine.

I know what you mean on those cold clear windy days though. Experienced many on the mountain. Those were the days my wife estates at home or in the lodge.

Starry nights in the snow are awesome, too. When it's calm and clear. It's really awesome to be outside.

0 is fine with no wind and sun. Just gotta keep your head covered.

In my part of the world, any day the wind isn't blowing is a nice day.

No kidding. And with a full moon, it's so freaking awesome to be outside and able to see like its daylight without any artificial lights.

I don't complain about anything because complaining is for pussies.

Single digits. And yes, the wind chill is a huge factor. I live in Minneapolis, but I'm a transplant from Indiana. The lifers here can be pretty hardcore about winter. It makes a big difference though if you dress for the weather which I didn't always do before I moved here.

You have crazy looking people with B.O. wandering around downtown from what I saw.

Nice place though.

55 or below is very cold for me. That's pretty much the coldest it ever gets in Sydney. Wind does make a difference though. If there's no wind but its cold I dont mind nearly as much.

How is downtown San Diego? Last time I was there it closed up shop at about 10 PM every night. For fun we messed with the hookers/pimps, drug dealers and other assorted street people.
