When the Spurs start giving a damn (so basically when the playoffs start), they'll be fine. Tim Duncan and the band of Spurs rotation players will be enough to knock out Golden State. I doubt they'll even need Parker and Manu, though they'll undoubtedly be playing.

Also, I love this Rockets team. So happy they made it.

10 games over .500 with 7 guys in the 10-man rotation at age 24 or younger. And Asik is only 26. That doesn't even include T-Rob. It'll be interesting to see if they try to get another Max player, but I kind of hope they don't and stick with the young guys. Dont want Love or Josh Smith... I have faith that Terrence Jones will develop.... more so than Motiejunas or Robinson

The only two guys on Houston this year with a PER over 16 are Greg Smith (16.6) and James Harden (23.2).

Harden is completely carrying that team. It's pretty amazing what he's done.

I somwhat agree, even though he might be the worst defender in the league. His Manu style wears on me sometimes, but I shouldn't complain. I don't think his surrounding cast is as bad as you're implying. The core of this team all have 15+, which is fine in this league. Having all 5 starters plus a role player or two at 15+ isn't terrible. Jones didn't qualify but had over 16. They do commit a lot of turnovers, which is something they definitely need to improve on.

But yeah, generally you want to have a second guy hovering around the 20 range.

Parsons and Lin are terrible and hurt Harden more than they help

Harrison Barnes is AT BEST a bench guy.. but really is just crap. What a waste of a draft pick that was.

Shogun 04-15-2013 09:42 PM

Cole Aldrich with back to back double doubles. Tyshawn taylor also had a strong game with 14 pts, perfect 3-3 from 3 also. Nice night for some jayhawks

and who were they suppose to pick instead? Everyone picked after Barnes is ****ing god awful garbage besides Drummond. You have to go all the way to pick 20 to find someone serviceable and even then that's reaching for Evan Fournier over Barnes. Nobody outside of the first 6 picks has done anything this year in the NBA besides Drummond at 9. And GS was not picking a PG or SG. Barnes was the best pick and production wise compared to everything else in the draft they could have had, still is.

Be that as it may, Barnes has been garbage this year, can't play defense, can't shoot, can't pass, can't dribble. Really just a waste of a roster spot. Like I said earlier in this thread the Warriors will never be anything but average with Mark Jackson as the head coach and bums like Harrison Barnes taking up roster spots.

Ohh and hopefully they look to replace him in this next draft.

if you think Harrison Barnes is that bad than everyone in the draft picked after him is way worse

i do agree they pick should have been Andre Drummond, but they needed a SF

Yep.. they did make a mistake counting on Andrew Bogut. No big deal, compared the crap I have dealt with being a Warriors fan this is nothing.

Final playoff spot will be settled on Wednesday. Lakers in with a win OR Utah loss. Utah in with a win AND Lakers loss.

mcaj22 04-15-2013 10:00 PM

you have to remember they were going to platoon Barnes with Brandon Rush. They never expected or planned to throw Barnes into the fire like this

Rush would have been getting 20 to 30 a night

Hootie 04-15-2013 10:21 PM

the Thunder/Heat rivalry would have been so much better had OKC been smart and taken Curry over Harden.

Not because Curry is better than Harden...but because he would have been the PERFECT #3 to Westbrook/Durant. Imagine trying to guard Curry at the 3 point line with those 2. JFC
