Houston was hurt last year. He would have easily had 15 last year

Houston missed games due to injury last year and still had 11 sacks. He's much younger than Ware and is an ascending player playing for his first big contract. How is this hard for you to understand you ****ing reerun?

These are the same morons that claim that piece of shit Dude I ate a nacho is an all pro guy. Damn that dude sucks.

Honestly I don't think the Broncos D is as great as their fans are making it out to be. Adding descending/hurt players like Talib and Ware only leave question marks.

Is ware what he used to be? Can he play in the 4-3 without adjusting? Is Talib ever gonna stay healthy?

Quesadilla Joe 07-28-2014 11:06 AM

7 of Houston's sacks came in two games against rookie RT's, in the other 9 games played before being injured he had 3 sacks. Seems to me Houston feasts on scrubs and disappears against better competition.

Molitoth 07-28-2014 11:10 AM

Homers on both sides of this fence are ****ing reeruned.

If you can find any post of mine that even suggests such a thing, I'd be stunned.

There is some truth to this. Houston gets his sacks in bunches, Ware is much more steady against all competition.

Houston has gotten to the QB at least once in 36% of the games he has played.

Ware has gotten to the QB at least once in 71% of the games he has played.

Jamaal Charles.

Interestingly, the same sort of situation exists with Von and Hali, but not as severe.

Von gets to the QB at least once in 65% of his games.

Hali gets to the QB at least once in 50% of his games.

This can be such a flawed stat.

Houston struggled in his first 8 games, but since then he's gotten as many sacks as games in that timespan.

Is the average overall helping Ware from his success before 2013? Ware isn't that same guy he was 3 years ago. Not saying he still can't be good though.

Okay... deleting Houston's first 8 games, and only taking Ware's last 2 seasons into account like you want...

Ware still beats Houston 52% to 44%.

Pasta Little Brioni 07-28-2014 11:39 AM

MagicHef...king of the useless stat. Watch the ****ing games. One's ascending the other a brokedick shell.

Houston came into his own last year and in the same amount of games (13) as Ware last year he had twice the amount of sacks, 1 more QB hit and 11 more pressures.

I'm taking Houston right now until I see Ware prove he's what he used to be.

RunKC 07-28-2014 11:45 AM

I don't see how anyone would take Ware over Houston right now. One is getting into his prime and has been getting better every year while the other is the complete opposite...past his prime, hurting and declining in production.
