Cocaine is illegal???

Who knew???

http://www.nbcmiami.com/news/Cocaine...247327091.html

A Key West man arrested on cocaine possession allegedly told police he did not know the drug was illegal in the state of Florida, according to a police report.

Officers responded to a call reporting three suspicious people standing behind the Conch Tour Station and then walking onto the property of the Pier House Resort Sunday, the report said.

When police arrived and found the subjects, an officer saw 46-year-old Guy Lanchester stand up from a seated position and walk behind a "sign/flower pot to conceal his actions," the report said.

The officer walked toward Lanchester and saw he was fumbling with a small plastic bag that appeared to contain a white powder, police said. When the officer asked what he had in his hand, Lanchester quickly shoved the bag into the flower pot, according to the report.

The officer retrieved the bag and tested the substance, which came out positive for cocaine.

When he got to the jail, Lanchester told police, "I don't understand... I thought cocaine wasn't illegal in Florida," according to the report.

Lanchester is being held without bond, online jail records show.

16 year old steals a truck, wrecks 23 cars in a joyride:

http://www.wfla.com/story/24881401/s...uit-in-manatee

WEST BRADENTON, FL (WFLA) - The Manatee County Sheriff's Office now says a total of 23 accidents were caused Tuesday morning during a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.

Deputies say the pick-up truck was stolen by a 16-year-old runaway from Arcadia, from an auto shop on 60th Street in West Bradenton around 10 a.m.

During a press conference held Tuesday afternoon, Manatee County Sheriff's Office PIO Dave Bristow says the juvenile suspect rode up to the shop on his bike, determined the keys were still in the vehicle, and took off in the truck.

"We haven't really interviewed him yet to find out why," Bristow said. "I mean obviously he wanted to go on a joyride, but that was one heck of a joyride."

Bristow says the owner of the shop and the victim attempted to follow the truck before police pursued him. Investigators believe the teen hit as many as 23 cars trying to get through traffic.

One of the cars he damaged was driven by Terry Farren, who is on vacation from Pennsylvania. Farren was stuck on Cortez Bridge, and saw the truck in his rear view mirror.

"I saw a red pickup coming down the middle of a two-lane bridge, and cars were going off on either side," Farren said. "I tried to get off as far as I could, but couldn't, and he got the rear end of my car."

Deputies called off the chase at one point due to unsafe conditions on the Manatee Avenue Bridge, then reconnected with him near the Cortez Bridge where the truck crashed and he was taken into custody.

Bristow said nine of the 23 crashes were caused on the bridge.

"We haven’t had anything like this, that I can recall, with this many crashes," he said. "It's just incredible."

No serious injuries were reported in the crashes. The teen faces a number of charges including grand theft auto, aggravated fleeing to elude, reckless driving, and multiple counts of leaving the scene of an accident.

In addition to Manatee County deputies, Bradenton Beach Police, Holmes Beach Police and Bradenton City Police assisted in the pursuit.

The Cortez Bridge was closed for about three hours due to the crashes.

I scream, you scream, we all scream.... and torch our car... for ICE CREAM!

Witnesses say a Florida woman gave a man's car the ol' gasoline-plus-fire-combo after he refused to purchase a McFlurry dessert for her at McDonald's.

Bystanders watched the unnamed pair as their argument over frozen treats escalated (something tells us there was more going on here) around 12:30 a.m. Sunday at the McDonald's near St. Johns Bluff, WFTV reports.

"Next thing you know, she says 'I'm going to blow it up,' and we were wondering what are you going to blow up?" witness Sabryna Maré told Action News Jax.

Answer: The dude's car.

"She got something out of the car that happened to be a bottle and then she got gasoline from who knows where," Maré explained. "Then she poured everything all over it and next thing you know there was a match and it was up in flames."

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue arrived to put out the flaming 1994 El Dorado, but by then the suspect was gone. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Best thing for the El Dorado probably.

Wow...a Florida double header today!

We have a trend, people. A horrible trend that must stop trending.

Man Caught Having Sex With Pit Bull in Yard by Horrified Neighbors

Just two weeks after a Tampa man was arrested for raping his pit bull as neighbors tried to stop him, ignominious Florida history has repeated itself in Daytona:

James Bull, 61, has been charged with felony animal cruelty and another misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty.

According to the report, neighbors told police on Tuesday they saw Bull having sexual conduct with his 8-month-old female dog on his front porch of his Magnolia Avenue apartment.

Bull is in jail on a $15,000 bond. No word on whether he's been anyone's dog in the lockup yet. Fingers crossed.

It's okay to love your dog but not to love your dog.
