Yep, Hansbrough brings so much effort. Pissed me off when he was in college, still pisses me off when I watch him now. But it got him a NBA job.

Exactly. Team at the top should draft Noel and pray.

tk13 03-28-2013 09:42 PM

Hansbrough is much more of a scrapper. Zeller is more talented. He can step out on the floor and handle the ball and shoot from outside. He just has to be tougher inside. His oldest brother had the same problem sometimes.

He should. I actually think there are a few potentially good players projected after him right now (Smart, Shabazz, Porter).

He's a one who sucks the penis, no doubt.

Crean needs to make a decision: does he want to lose by 10 or risk getting blown out but possibly winning?

Time to start shooting threes off of high screens and stop taking 28 seconds to penetrate the zone.

Hootie 03-28-2013 09:44 PM

I think the only white big guy I've liked in college basketball the past 5 years is that big ****ing guy from Kentucky the year Brandon Knight was their PG...he played his ass off, came out of nowhere, and ****ing dominated. I don't feel like looking up his name but I liked him.

To beat this zone you have to get a playmaker to the free throw line, a big who can finish off a dump down from that playmaker, and shooters on the wing. Surprised they haven't done more with Watford in the middle.

Hootie 03-28-2013 09:45 PM

I was having meltdowns the year the Bulls played the Pacers in the playoffs and Hansbrough was on the court and playing pretty well...I thought that ****er was out of my life for good and what do you know...there he was again...making me want to gouge my eyes out.

I wouldn't take Zeller at 30 let alone 3...

Yeah I think I like him more or less because I picked UK and Connecticut in that Final Four and was the only one in the entire field of over 1500 brackets to get two final four teams...

of course when UCONN won I ended up finishing 6th and only making $300 instead of 1st (had Butler won) and $3000.

that was a meltdown city

You guys didn't see Barkley bash the "morons on Twitter," claiming that he and others on set "weren't offended"?

Gottlieb went with a diversity joke that fell ****ing flat. Said he was there to provide "the white man's perspective." Awkward silence ensues, and Gottlieb ends up apologizing later, apparently.

I think what made it worse is that it fell completely flat. Everyone just kind of awkwardly sat there like "Uh..." Greg Gumbel jokingly acted like he was going to walk off the desk to get away from him.

'Hamas' Jenkins 03-28-2013 09:57 PM

SVP and Rusillo were on a ****ing roll about 2:40 today.

Someone asked them which of the remaining mascots would win in a deathmatch, and while going through the list they stopped with Indiana and SVP said,

"A Hoosier is just a guy from Indiana right? Or a guy tweaked out on meth. Not that all Hoosier fans are tweaked out on meth..."

I almost sprained my diaphragm from laughing.

Ceej 03-28-2013 09:58 PM

Oh, look -- a B1G team scoring under 50 points.

KC_Connection 03-28-2013 09:58 PM

I was wrong. Indiana's offense has been a complete mess the entire night. They clearly weren't prepared for the zone at all and they haven't been able to get any fast break points. It doesn't help that they're not stopping Syracuse's penetration at all either. Little defense.

Yeah, but Indiana is a fast-paced transition team. They aren't a typical Big 10 team at all. They can run it up and down and shoot 3's with anyone in the country. These half court games kill them. That's why Syracuse was a terrible matchup for them.

'Hamas' Jenkins 03-28-2013 10:01 PM

For the life of me I'll never understand why teams struggle so much with Syracuse's zone. It's the second-most basic of defenses

I know, but it doesn't make the set impregnable. Indiana was playing right into the zone's strength all night. They were trying to get layups at the hole, which is just too damned difficult. They had the shooters and athletes to collapse it with penetration and kick out, but didn't.

Indiana's guards were just too small and not able to keep up with Syracuse on the perimeter. Their two starting guards were both held scoreless. I'd wonder the last time that's happened to anyone.
