Well now where do we go? lol

I took a lot of shit in this thread for my "unreasonable" expectations.

I even said I think Mahomes is going to blow things up. I predicted he would change the way we see the QB position and compared him to Marino in his second year.

So far, I am on track. He is completing less passes per game than I thought but is way more efficient and should top the 4600 yards I predicted. I also said he would break the Chiefs Season TD record and he is on track to destroy it. Mahomes is running a little less than I expected and I think that is a good thing to limit the risk of injury- we saw Foster try and headhunt him.

Mahomes is everything I expected- But so much more than I could dream. He is having a record-breaking season and we are on track to win the West again.

A lot of people said to tone it down with the 4000k yards 40 TD talk. Maybe they should tone it up with their 3000k 20TD talk

My honest appraisal of his floor if the offense stays healthy and doesn’t lose any major parts.

4000 yards passing
400 rushing 5tds
30 td passing
13 int

Huge playoff performances.

My post was his floor, IMO.

If everyone stays healthy and focused, he has a chance to get 5000 total yards and 40 tds, possibly more.

We have the best skill position guys in the nfl and Mahomes is a special talent.

1. Mahomes has already exceeded by expectations. This was suposed to be a transitional year, now it clearly doesn't look like that. Even when I thought it was a transitional year, I still thought we could contend for the Division. Now I expect to win it.

2. Mahomes is just fun to watch. i've NEVER enjoyed watching a Chiefs game like i do now. I know he will make mistake, but I don't think I'll ever really be disapointed in him, especialy early on in his career. I would get down on Smith and the Chiefs every time he shit the bed, why? Because it was a reminder that Smith and the Chiefs didn't really have what it takes to contend. Now its, hey, he's young and I'm glad he's taking a chance.

3. Wins and losses, especially in the playoffs are all that matters to me. it's fun to focus on stats, but lets be honest here, while Mahomes has had three weeks on insane stats, the 2017 NFL rushing leader is 17th in rushing yards. Am I upset about that? No, not one bit. I actually think its great. I'd rather have Hunt beast when we need it, like in the first game to give the defense a rest, to put the game on ice, or to win playoff games. Yeah I hope he gets a 1000 yards and 10 TDs, but I'm more interested in team success. I feel the same way about Mahomes.

All these years waiting for a draft pick prospect I can't believe he's here and could be better than imagine.

I am proud of this post i was right he wouldn't throw a lot of interceptions. I've said it time and time again he didn't throw a lot in college and he won't in the NFL he steps his level up.

The game looks too easy for the kid.
