It was ridiculous

Something to do with not having the ball viewable in his hand prior to starting his motion while pitching out of his stretch.

I would take my chances on the re-roll. Vargas was effective against the Angels and Orioles, but he also was pretty lucky and benefited from some amazing defensive plays.

I wouldn't want to re-roll any of the last 2 years unless it was exclusive to the WS vs San Fran. The run over the last two years has been incredible.

That is who I would send down as he is a one trick pony but as you saw he can win you a game just on his legs so there.

Has to be Fuentes as he could still improve playing everyday. Gore will likely never be more than a pinch runner.

All we need to change about 2014 is Sal swings 1/2 inch higher and a millisecond later on Bum's last pitch, which was a borderline high strike.

Dammit now I'm going to spend the next 30 minutes fantasizing about Sal homering to end the WS. I'm like Cartman with Come Sail Away - once I start I have to see it through to the finish.

It's definitely possible that Ian would have led us to the promisedland (After the season I daydreamed about how the team would have looked if we had Cruz and Phil Hughes on the roster).

We just had such a voodoo filled run through the 2014 postseason. Looking back on it now and it feels like that entire run was on a razor's edge. 8 of our first 9 playoff wins were either in extra innings or won by 2 runs or less.

Starting out the ALDS with a loss changes the complexion of that postseason, imo.
