Double Doubles, animal style, with the fresh fries and roughly about 2/3 the price. |

I don't think it is even close, the taste is similar to a burger from the 50s, prior to the big places mass producing them in some factory, then freezing the stuff and shipping it all over the country. Everything is fresh, the condiments, buns, meat, including the fries. Wendy's is the closest IMO, but their onions especially, and most of their other condiments are rank. If California fell off into the ocean, In-N-Out would be the most devastating loss to me. :D |
We went on vacation last week, part of which was through Arizona and Nevada. I was really wanting to try In-n-Out Burger thinking they would be a good choice because of their "animal style" burgers but found pretty much everything on their menu has gluten so skipped it. :( Burger King is still the go to place on road trips.

In N Out is good. Not worth all the hype it gets though.

Five Guys is overpriced for greasy fries. About only burgers I eat anymore are the ones I cook on my Big Green Egg.

I do love them though, and I can't say that about BK, Wendys, McDonalds, Smashburger or 5 guys. One more thing that is positive about In-N-Out, they are active in the NHRA. |
