It did that like 2 seasons ago.

This show HAD potential but it decided to piss it away with plots that never ended and plots that never should have started.

Werewolves? Pointless.
Why isn't Jason a Were-panther? Where are all the were-panther babies from when he was forced to **** all of those chicks?
Sookie? Pointless.
Sam? Pointless.
The whole Lilith plot line? ****ing stupid.

keg in kc 07-16-2013 09:38 AM

I finally took it off my dvr after watching about 10 minutes of the season premiere a few weeks back.

You aren't missing ANYTHING. I half watch it while messing around on my phone. My wife still watches it but even she is getting a little tired of it. The plotlines are worthless and they keep rehashing shit that they've already done.

Com-ton bluhh-suckah!!!

Mr. Laz 07-16-2013 09:16 PM

The writing really failed.

the possibilities are endless and they just repeat the same basic shit

frankotank 07-23-2013 02:08 PM

welp....there was at least one good scene in the most recent episode.

Fresh look at Sookie titties. Best part of the whole year. :thumb:

This show I once enjoyed mercifully came to an end last night. As a final show I rate up there as one of the all time epic fails for a series and IMO was as bad if not worse than the ending for Lost. Came in with a bang and went out as a whiney bucket of crap.

Yeah. That was painful to watch.

This series should have been put out of its misery years ago. But, even given that, the ending was up there with all time worst endings of series. We don't even get to see the face of Sookie's new hubby? Series finale built around a new plot line of a marriage where the people met 2 days ago?

It wasn't as bad as Dexter being a lumberjack but it was horrible. If I gave a shit about the show I'd be pissed.

I do think a spinoff of Eric Northman going around and ****ing with people would be funny and entertaining. I like his charector and his female sidekick.

allen_kcCard 08-25-2014 10:11 AM

How in the **** did Bridgette not ever get naked? She was the only reason I was looking forward to the last episode thinking that her and Jason would have about a 15 minute bang session.

I was wondering who it was, and was looking for it, but all I noticed was the back of his head as they pulled back on that final scene.

I figured I must have missed it when they showed who it was, but I really didn't even care enough to hit rewind on the remote to find out.

Huh?

Are you talking about Hoyt and Jessica?

All of this...

Valiant 08-26-2014 08:26 AM

Yeah, this shit should of ended after two or three seasons...

Sigh..

Yes, the plot line says he knows nothing, remembers nothing of their past lifes but what he is told. He accepts this as fact and gets married in 2 days. But, there again, way too much thought and typing for a show that pathetically limped across the finish line. It deserves to die and be buried.

I can agree with you.

But when it comes to Hoyt...you pretty much have to accept that even though he's been glamoured....he's still going to have feelings for her. He may not remember her but he apparently loved her at one point...so what's to stop him from falling in love all over again?

allen_kcCard 08-26-2014 10:22 AM

I think the point with Hoyt was that he fell for her when he first saw her both times he first saw her.

I still can't believe no one else is outraged about no naked Bridgette!

It would have been glorious, but I got over it when I knew we were never going to see Jessica naked. Just body doubles or silicone covers.

MTG#10 08-27-2014 09:05 AM

The show sucked for the last 2 seasons but I still watched. The ending was about what I expected.

PhillyChiefFan 08-27-2014 01:20 PM

The only reason I watched this season was to see what they did to end it. HBO really mailed this one in. I think they just wanted it to be over. I knew it was going to be bad when the last episode was only 1 hr.

The main issue with this show has been it's consistency from day one. Every season they have one or two plots that either change for no reason in the middle of the season...or they just give up and never go back to.

That and they waited FOR EVER to kill Tara.....and then ****ing brought her back as a vampire. And then they killed Tara.....and then ****ing brought her back as ghost. ****ing stupid.

I couldn't stand Tara from Season 1. And the Tara storyline from the last season has to be the lamest storyline I've ever seen.

Crazy Mom: Tara is reaching out to me from the other side, I need vampire blood!

Tara: Hey Ma, just brought you here to tell you I forgive you. And to be happy!

Crazy Mom: Ok hun, thanks! Bye!

Gravedigger 08-28-2014 08:16 AM

Tara was terribly done, she should've died instead of Pam bringing her back in the first place.

Bringing back Hoyt was stupid. I don't care how hot Jessica is, you can't expect the audience to feel any sort of connection with a wedding that felt like a Vegas Drive Thru.

Spoiler!

The writers actually get paid for throwing this shit at the wall, it was worse then when the writers of America went on strike and every show was worse for a period of time.

Baby Lee 08-28-2014 08:17 AM

I'd come to expect little of the show in the later years, and mostly sleepwatched it for the last couple, just perking up for bewbies or Northman badassery.

But the finale, though it went in irritating directions telegraphed eons ago, and had a shit ton of logical inconsistencies [Bill is near death, but digs his own grave back up with a plain ol' spade. if he's ok with being staked to death, why not just lie there and wait for morning], it was overall surprisingly moving and touching.

And of course they had to do the vampires=gay and evangelicals get eternal punishment one last time heading out the door, but hey that's Alan Ball if that's blindsiding you at this point, wow.

But **** Zep over closing scene. Maybe they paid for it, but the show didn't earn it. P-Diddy earned Kashmir more than TB earned TY.

MTG#10 08-28-2014 09:28 AM

It was pretty ridiculous how Lafayette didn't have a single line in that last episode. One of the most popular characters since the beginning and all he got during the final episode was a quick shot of him smiling at the dinner table at the very end.

I actually thought they might go with the whole "Bill turning human" plot twist but they apparently decided to go with the other bullshit instead.

Radar Chief 08-28-2014 10:07 AM

Show didn't end with one last shot of Sookie nekid = fail.
Paquin, and some of the other girls waiting tables at Merlotte's, walking around in short shorts with tight t-shirts are the whole reason I started watching the show.

KChiefs1 08-29-2014 11:11 PM

Disappointed in the lack of nudity.

MTG#10 08-30-2014 10:18 AM

Very last scene at the dinner table, can someone tell me who the older redhead lady was that was sitting by Tara's annoying mom and the fat guy that was her date? I cant remember ever seeing either one of these people in any episode.

Merlotte's regulars. Probably missed them because they were chowing down or getting drunk in the background.

Bowser 08-30-2014 01:43 PM

I think the last five or so episodes are on the DVR. Don't even think I'm going to watch them.

frankotank 09-08-2014 08:56 AM

I really wanted to see Tara's goods.

Total series fail.
