FAU is not a guy I'm happy to see as a Chief. I think he's going to be fantastic.

He's one of a handful of guys I just didn't look into or think much about, for whatever reason. McDonald was another. I'm not even sure why. Some vague idea that they wouldn't take the 6-7-8th guys at a position, which doesn't even really make sense if it's a deep group, which of course it is.

I guess the main thing I like on the surface is that he only turned 21 in January. That's a huge positive to me, especially in the 1st round. Someone who isn't totally raw, he's produced and knows how to play, but he's also got a bunch of room to grow. We need someone who can help us repeat, but also with upside.

Fingers crossed we hit. Our Nascar package looks nice with GK-CJ-Omen-FAU.

Him being 21 is a big deal, when you compare him to some of the other guys. I'd have rather had McDonald but obviously that wasn't happening.

In 4 or 5 years he will be know as one of the best edge's in the NFL. I was surprised he was available. EMAW!

I’m pretty good with this. I would’ve preferred a WR but a pass rusher will do too.

There’s also a part of me that felt we didn’t trade up or down so we can announce the last pick of the night. Overall, an insanely cool build up to the pick. But wonder if we could’ve at least traded back so someone else can grab a qb.

For those more knowledgeable than I, what does Chris Jones' reaction mean? Is he angry about the pick?

I think FAU is a solid pick at a premium position.
Personally, I liked Foskey better as an edge prospect but I won’t argue Veach’s board.
Overall, a B-

Saw a Matthew Judon comparison. If that's what he is, man that would be ideal.

I like this pick. He’s athletic and long but he’s also a hard worker and relentless in pursuit. He’s going to pair with George real well IMO
