Shit. I asked my wife to bring me Smashburger for lunch. She did alright. Something called a Smash Chicken. Woman thinks she's taking care of me by switching chicken for burger but really she's driving me to drink. At least she had them put jalapenos on it.

Over my time here in Arizona I've grown to like japs on my food sometimes, and have grown to require salsas and sauces with progressively more heat. Not the crazy hot shit, never that, but something with some snap to it that cleans your sinus at the same time.

The Smashburger in my town went out of business. Maybe lasted 3 years? I liked it, but the location wasn't the best.

Now its a Pepperjack's Grill. Anyone ever eat at one?

I find it to be pretty mediocre. It's not terrible but it's not all that great either. It's just a small fast food burger.

Their fries are bad.

I actually thought the fries were very good.

That's almost crazy to me - they're huge out here. I always have to wait forever because they're always packed.

Pepperjack's is awesome, it's one of my favorite lunch places.

The Mrs. and I had our first experience at the new Smashburger near here last night.
Meh, nothing special, and I was still hungry after mine and half of hers. I doubt we ever try them again. $18 after the $2 off coupon, for two burgers, shared onion rings and two sodas?

If they had an In-n-Out near here, they would own me. 5 guys is too pricy for a burger, and is pretty much just how I make them at home.
