When Marv Albert and Rich Gannon and CBS devote two full consecutive minutes to SOC and the Blackout, all the while pointing out the futility of the team, Clark will have no choice but to act.

When Albert later followed up with the 3-15 home record and the visual of fans leaving in droves to start the 4th quarter, if the Hunt family doesn't get the message, they never will.

They may never. Lamar was loyal to a fault. Clark really knows nothing
about a successful NFL team IMO. Most of us fans care more and spend more time on the Chiefs than Clark.

That's ridiculous. I don't know Clark's daily schedule but the dude is on several committees, flies everywhere for games, and is dealing with NFL issues year 'round. He grew up in an Arrowhead suite. I know the guy likes soccer and that's fine but to suggest he doesn't know football and doesn't spend time on his family's billion dollar product is just sour grapes at this point.

Guy went out and got Pioli. That was what he was supposed to do. I don't think we can freak out at Clark unless he actually retains Pioli. If he fires him, he once again did what he was supposed to do. Can't really blame him for letting Pioli do his thing the first 4 years.

I agree.

People that suggest that Clark is "dumb" or "unaware" are silly. As you've said, he's at all of the games and he was key in negotiating the new CBA.

While I never agreed or cared for the Pioli hire, I also understand that from the outside, he did was what expected of a great owner: Hire the person he felt was the best possible candidate.

I would be shocked if he hadn't formed a search committee in order to identify the next GM.

I agree with that. Although I think based on reports coming out of Arrowhead about Pioli that maybe Clark could have stepped up sooner but unless we're there and know what information he had, we have to assume that he's going on best faith right now. He's managing his family's biggest current asset. Even if he's not a football fan (which isn't true), he's not going to be complacent in giving it his very best effort.

I hope Clark makes us proud with the way he moves this team into its next chapter.

I think he will.

Me too, man.

Have always believed in the Hunt family.

Well it would have been nice if Carl hadn't gotten 20 years. That being said, half the fan base was fine with just winning during the regular season as well so I really can't get on the owner too much about being in the same mindset as his customers.

I have not totally turned on Clark Hunt mostly because to do so would be going forward with not enough information.

The people at the top set a culture that trickles down to an organization though. That is what is so hard to reconcile. The only common denominator in this 20 years of failure has been the ownership group.

Maybe it is as simple as Clark getting his first time up to bat and totall whiffing. His heart is in the right place and he went out and got the guy he "should" have gotten but it didn't work out. That could be the case.

I worry though there is something about the leadership that has permeated this organization that I don't actually know about that has led to these constant failures. A tone deaf distant organization that has an unjustified arrogance.

Also there is so much about the Chiefs that is simply ****ing tired. The same tired ****ing music they have had forever...the same weird old rat mascot...

I think it is just tough. We have all read this book before and we know exactly how it ends.

So if they get a new mascot you'll STFU?

What?

No that isn't a big issue.

But you knew that when you read the post.

There was a chunky gal at the game sunday wearing one of those animal stocking caps which looked like a dog ... Anyway, she must have come up and down the stairs 20 times when I finally started calling her KC Wolf. I kept hi-fiving her, you know how KC Wolf does all of his minions and after the 30th trip up the stairs I finally posed for a picture with "KC Wolf". She loved it. I should find out if Wazu has it on his phone. Hello, Wazu - consider yourself tagged and post that stupid picture of me with the mascot.
