Tebow gets booed at Yankees game
Posted by Mike Florio on April 15, 2012, 9:24 PM EDT While attending a Yankees game on Friday, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said that the “feels bad” for “the Sanchez” because fans will be cheering for backup quarterback Tim Tebow during the first game of the 2012 season. New York fans attending Sunday’s game at Yankees Stadium got a chance to chime in. Art Stapleton of the Record reports via Twitter that Tim Tebow was shown on the large video monitor attending the game, and that his image was greeted with “loud boos.” Later, Stapleton explained it as “[f]aint cheers” and “mostly boos.” Though we won’t know what the fans at MetLife Stadium will do until they assemble for a Jets game and Tebow trots onto the field, it’s safe to say that Tebow won’t be hearing many cheers if/when he starts burning worms and/or putting balls in the front row. |
I'm a Tebow fan now since we both have a common enemy in Elway.

hmmm, Elway hates him. Yankees fans hate him. This guy may be alright.

History tells you, Giants once played at Yankees stadium and Jets played at (Mets) Shea Stadium. Rex Ryan, Mark Sanchez or anyone from the Jets would most likely get booed in Yankees stadium. Tebow is a backup quarterback. He is sitting in a house where players like Mo Rivera and Derek Jeter are 5x World Series champions. Tebow should of stood up and cheered them! I'm mostly sure if he was at a Mets game, fans would boo him. Tebow is not a star in New York. You have to earn respect here. This ain't Denver. |
