The scene with Sam and Aemon was kind of boring and pointless.

We didn't know Aemon was a Targaryen before that did we? I didn't anyways.

Yeah, we see it on HBO Go immediately as well.

Ahhh.. that would make it more impactful if so (I've read books, so I knew he was. I thought it had been on the series already).

The fight choreography involving Jon Snow was pretty excellent, especially when he fought the Thenn chieftain. Really nice mixture of stylish and brutal.

I thought that it was excellent "stage swordplay" for an actor too. Almost at Antonio Banderas' level since he does all his swordplay without a stuntman substitute during the difficult sequences in his various movies that required it.

Season 1, he tells Jon Snow after he hear word of Ned.

That makes sense then that I wouldn't remember that. Back then I was still trying to figure out what a "Crow" was.

My only complaint would be if there were really only 20 men at the inner gate they would have been all dead in the first 5 minutes. Red archer supposedly took out atleast 10 herself.

Aries Walker 06-09-2014 03:48 PM

She estimated only 20. Apparently, she was wrong.

Hawk 06-09-2014 04:18 PM

Yeah, I don't think the show was very smart to say that there's only 102 men left last week, because it seemed like there were more than that given how many died in that episode and how many were still left at the end. No need for them to be so specific about it and make it an issue.

I thought it was a very good episode. I hated to see Ygritte's fate, but I suppose very important for Jon's development. She was a badass and she was hot.

Fish 06-09-2014 05:05 PM

It was Sam's ****ing fault the hot ginger Wildling was killed. "Olly right? Grab a weapon... meh meh meh..." Dumbass.

Yeah, that sucked to see as well. She was an interesting character

Great episode.

I'm glad Jon didn't die. I figured another Stark would die.

So is the Lord Commander, whatever his Irish ass name is, dead? They hauled him off and it looked like his leg was ****ed up but he could still give orders. Why wasn't he around when Jon left.

I was also bummed that Ygrett died but better her than Jon IMO.

Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)

Oh man. Ohhhhhh ****ing mannnnn!

Oberyn just named himself Tyrion's champion and I'm starting to really like the guy. He deserves justice for the death of his sister..

Which is why I'm 100% sure he'll be slaughtered by the Mountain.

This ****ing show.
