Hosmer re ups, he is a Royal for life. Cush front office the rest of his life. Pretty much would be in the Brett and White of Royal lore.

Lots of parallels with Albert Pujols (although Hosmer is nowhere near the player Pujols was in his prime). If Pujols had stayed in St Louis he'd be fabulously wealthy and he'd be adored by the entire town. They'd be building statues of him and comparing him with Stan Musial.

In Anaheim he's fabulously wealthy and nobody gives a shit.

Has anyone heard of the changes MLB is wanting to unilaterally impose? Cliff Notes version? I heard on the radio MLB sent notice to MLBPA that they were going to do it.

Yep, you were right. Never would have got them.

I don't even remember a Mike Stodolka....

He was a pitcher. I want to say a lefty, but I really don't remember.

Yep, and when it was apparent he couldn't pitch at this level, they tried him as a position player - primarily 1B. He actually wasn't that bad, but I think he just kind of gave it up when it was apparent he wasn't ever going to be much more than a bit player.

I believe the only change approved so far is the intentional walk I posted about earlier today.

I think they shot down the strike zone change and stuff for 2017.

I just dont think most players think this way anymore. Its all about the money. I cant really blame them. It is what it is..

That predicts the AL wild card to only need 85 wins. That is doable.

Jerok 02-23-2017 09:47 AM

We are predicted to be the 6th worst team? I guess there's only one thing to do. Win the whole damn thing.
