You know, when he left New Mexico after being drafted by the Chiefs in the

Others wanted KC to draft Dwight Clark who went two rounds later, but it's impossible to know what would have been if Williams hadn't delved so deep into the underworld and shady side of Kansas City.

Pick number 252 up for grabs

Nah, I'd rather give up the 13 spots than another pick. I'm guessing there will still be some useful dudes around at 463.

rageeumr 08-17-2011 11:49 AM

How about you Noa? You up for 258 & 319?

Hammock Parties 08-17-2011 11:56 AM

I just drafted the best safety no one ever talks about.

Yes, propose it to Austin armadillos

Close. Definitely deficient in the skill player department. But I think the RB pickings are much slimmer than WR. I think I can get a decent WR2 later. My window to get a halfway decent RB was closing quickly.

AndChiefs 08-17-2011 12:15 PM

League 2's rookie draft is finally done.

lostcause 08-17-2011 01:20 PM

Interested in moving up from 261.

Take your pick - pun not intended

Rain Man 08-17-2011 01:31 PM

Stop being a pickblock, gif_horse.

lostcause 08-17-2011 01:31 PM

I suppose I would be interested in 242 or 243, whichever is cheaper.

Hammock Parties 08-17-2011 01:34 PM

Maybe I should just take the wide receiver you're after. o:-)

lostcause 08-17-2011 01:35 PM

I suppose you wouldn't be able to if I traded up to 242.

261 and 309, and you can break gif's heart when you take his player.

Hammock Parties 08-17-2011 01:38 PM

I'm thinking Kenny Britt would look real nice in my slot.

shorman22 08-17-2011 01:39 PM

How about 252 for 261 and a 300 level pick

I like him a lot, he's tall and fast.

I definitely need a tall receiver.

Possibly, but I'm not interested in 2 for 1 swapping at this stage in the draft. So 261 & 309 for 252 & 325, for example.

lostcause 08-17-2011 01:49 PM

Or, Gif Horse, 238 & 339 for 261 & 309.

No can do, mi amigo. The market was set with the Provo/Austin trade. Moving up 25 slots was worth a low 300s pick.

[Adjusting plaid sports coat and taking you onto the car lot] For you, since you're a friend and I like the looks of you, I'll go 261 & 316 for 242, and I'm telling you, I'm not making any money out of that. That's my invoice cost.

I understand, sir. However, the market is set upon supply and demand. I see three suppliers, I see one buyer.

Fat Elvis 08-17-2011 01:53 PM

So when are you going to do a focus group and determine how you are going to monetize this thing?

You don't want to deal with those guys. Do they look trustworthy to you? I'm the one you want to be dealing with.

Rain Man 08-17-2011 01:58 PM

This is the type of intellectual property that you need in-house counsel for. I think I know someone, and he's pretty cheap at 120K/yr plus a loan payment signing bonus of 10K.

lostcause 08-17-2011 01:59 PM

Gif, Shorman, any interest in these offers?

If you can find trading partners that will set you up with that, well done. But at this stage of the draft short 2 for 1s like that are wickedly overpaying.

Here, you're offering me a move of 9 spots and asking for a return move up of around 40, in an area where there will still be a lot of value. We're closer to fair value though, perhaps we can work something out if my guy is still there are 252.

shorman22 08-17-2011 02:09 PM

Alright

Damn, draft was moving good then hit a gaither.

Rain Man 08-17-2011 03:16 PM

My pick is going to take about 0.05 seconds whenever it comes up. My guy is backstage with the baseball hat on, talking on his cell phone.

He told us he didn't want to play for you. Everyone hates the Broncos.

Out of curiosity, why do you have that name? I missed the back story.

MagicHef 08-17-2011 03:21 PM

Could someone be so kind as to post the URL for the veteran draft page? I'm logged on to my team with my phone, but the pull down menus don't work, so I have no way to get to the draft page.

Hopefully this goes to your team and not to my team.

Thanks. Who do you want me to draft for you? Tebow?

Rain Man 08-17-2011 03:40 PM

Oh, man. That Britt pick was a surprise. Other than being told about it, of course.

Demeco Ryans was my guy. He's the third-to-last piece of the defensive puzzle.

Iowanian 08-17-2011 03:44 PM

I must not be a pushover....no one wants to trade when they know they'll lose.

I probably wouldn't have taken him if lostcause hadn't talked about trading up.

I was considering him later.

o:-)

Rain Man 08-17-2011 05:04 PM

I'm really torn on who to pick with my next slot.

Rain Man 08-17-2011 05:12 PM

kstater 08-17-2011 05:18 PM

I think league 2 will pass league 1 in picks tonight. At 237 right now.

Rain Man 08-17-2011 05:30 PM

I went with Kalil. Couldn't pass up a pro bowler.

Hammock Parties 08-17-2011 05:41 PM

243 is available.

Rain Man 08-17-2011 05:46 PM

Dang. I'm drafting for Round Rock in League 2 and didn't intend to draft Matt Forte. Anyone want to give me their next draft pick for him?

Hammock Parties 08-17-2011 06:06 PM

Last call for #243

Hammock Parties 08-17-2011 06:21 PM

My roster is 1/3 complete

Best guard in the game, come at me bros.

http://www.greenbaypackernation.com/...sh-sitton.jpeg

Rain Man 08-17-2011 06:57 PM

Ah. Sitton was one of my three finalists for my last pick. Nice find.

Hammock Parties 08-17-2011 07:00 PM

All the stacked defenses in league one are scaring me into OL picks.

Hammock Parties 08-17-2011 07:08 PM

Future Pro Bowl LT Anthony Castonzo is on the trading block, people.

True fans, come get some.

Will consider veteran picks and players, including other rookies.

lostcause 08-17-2011 10:26 PM

Miss on britt. Hit on sitton. Should have pulled the trigger on 242.
