Yeah. I loved it.

I'm sure there will be an american remake, and they'll screw it up horribly.

I actually was just reading that there is one in the works, and yes I'm sure they'll butcher it.

I watched "At the Movies" last night and they both praised "Let the Right One In" and said it was being remade by the director of "Cloverfield". They said if you want to see a good vampire film, go see LTROI and skip "Twilight".

I just watched the movie and wow am I impressed. The relationship between Oskar and Eli could not have been done better. Great performances by those two.

Is that Elliott Smith in your avatar?

I saw Quantum of Solace over the last weekend. It was good. I liked it. I enjoy the Daniel Craig series much more than I did the Pierce Brosnan series.

Although, I was explaining the movie to my mom, and I don't think he had any cool gadgets. He had some pimp cars, but I don't remember any off the wall gadgets. Some would argue that it goes completely against everything Bond, but I like it more. With this series it doesn't seem easy. He's confident and shit goes his way, but it is not nearly as easy for him as it was in previous series'. Fat man approves.

Sure-Oz 12-03-2008 09:07 PM

Saw "Role Models" over the weekend, was suprisingly funny...we enjoyed it. Also "The Promotion" another movie with the stifler guy, pretty decent as well.

Fairplay 12-03-2008 10:29 PM

Transporter 3 was a waste of time/money. Don't bother.

I think they are working up to the classic Bond stuff.

Perhaps the 3rd movie will be there. Who knows?

Its pretty obvious they are trying to copy the "Bourne" movie style. Not a bad thing, just different.

Craig OWNS this role now. Hes awesume.

I've only read one of the Bond books, The Man With the Golden Gun I think it was. I thought it was interesting at the time that it was unlike the Bond movies. He didn't use any gadgets.
It was more realistic than the films. I remember he had to assasinate a guy with a revolver. He turned the cylinder a little when he was getting ready so he could fire quicker. That was the sort of detail that was used in the book, not any sort of gadgets. Maybe the producers/directors are sort of going back to the book style.

It looks kinda lame, Thomas Jane was good in the first one.

Pretty good film, its a brutal film at first, but it calms down near the end.

I liked the film. I typically HATE Leonardo DiGAY, but I thought he did a nice job in this film. The only other film where I liked his performance (not necessarily the film and vice versa) was Catch Me If You Can.

He did a good job on convincing me he was really the character in the movie...

His South African accent was spot on, and he learned some lines in a foreign language...He did a good job.

I actually like Leonardo DiCaprio, did you not like his performance in The Departed?

I LOVED Departed, but I thought his performance was....blah. Damon did a great job, Nicholson was brilliant, even Mark Whalburg did a decent job. But DiCaprio? Meh. Similar to what you said, I didn't buy him really being that kid. From a technical standpoint his performance was probably OK, but from an artistic standpoint, I didn't buy it.

I just watched a DVD called The Lookout. I liked it quite a bit. It's about a kid that gets in a car accident and has some brain damage so he forgets simple tasks and routines. He ends up working as a night janitor at a bank and some dudes dupe into plotting a robbery.
The setting was Kansas City and Kansas so that was also pretty cool.

I like the previews: They've taken that movie from a "family movie with a message" to a "we'll blow **** out of you if you don't listen" message.

Keanunu is probably the perfect person for the role of the alien.

He's as wooden as they come outside of porn.

That was, IMO, Wahlberg's first believable role.

The ending was too much though. The sequel must have been killed at some point during the dailies.

It's a Sci-Fi Classic.

But it IS an excellent and relevant film during the Cold War.

I actually think Maggie is very sexy. I realize her attractiveness or beauty is not standard, I just think she has an incredible sex appeal about her. It's not always about being hottest or whatever.

She and Zooey Deschanel have this "something" quality for me. Dunno what it is as neither is the "hottest" girl in the world, but both have great sex appeal, to me anyways.

Two movies that you don't want to see. Hitman and School is for Scoundrels. Both are horrible for different reasons.

I saw Austraila with the fam over Thanksgiving and it's a great family flick but it is about 3 hour long. Somebody told me it had been getting bad reviews. I'm kind of confused why. While it's not a genre of movie that I like, it wasn't too bad. They probably should have made two movies though. When I saw Batman it felt like it was going to end three times, but then when it didn't I was happy and the plot thickened. Australia does the same thing, but you want it to end.

Sully 12-08-2008 05:48 PM

Australia was ****ing horrible. It had AT LEAST 4 endings...it became comical at a point. They couldn't decide what to focus the story on, therefore, I didn't give a shit about any of the stories/characters. Somewhere in there was a really good movie, but by trying to do too much, it was ruined. Sad.
Thing is, I love long movies. I'd rather see a 3 hour movie, for my money, than a 90 minute one...so I had high hopes.
Kid was cool, though.
