Pretty sure that's it. I was reading about it earlier. That's two pilots, a diver, and at least one other guy that saw the thing.

Pretty crazy NYT article.

Sorry I can't copy/paste, I ran out of my free articles for the month.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/23/u...reid-navy.html

I was pretty convinced after hearing the Bob Lazar and Cmdr. David Fravor JRE podcasts and some of this shit in the article fits right in.

You know neither China nor Russia have made any ****ing technological leaps. The only way they can keep up with us is by stealing our tech and being a decade behind.

If they had the tech described in the article and discussed by Lazar and Fravor, they wouldn't need to steal our shit.

I have always been 50/50 on UFOs but I'm squarely in the "90% chance the Earth has been visited" at this point.

Fish 07-24-2020 10:49 AM

Source is this guy:
Quote:

Eric W. Davis, an astrophysicist who worked as a subcontractor and then a consultant for the Pentagon U.F.O. program since 2007, said that, in some cases, examination of the materials had so far failed to determine their source and led him to conclude, “We couldn’t make it ourselves.”

The constraints on discussing classified programs — and the ambiguity of information cited in unclassified slides from the briefings — have put officials who have studied U.F.O.s in the position of stating their views without presenting any hard evidence.

Mr. Davis, who now works for Aerospace Corporation, a defense contractor, said he gave a classified briefing to a Defense Department agency as recently as March about retrievals from “off-world vehicles not made on this earth.”
If you dive down the rabbit hole regarding him and UFO stuff, it even circles back to Skywalker ranch...

I watched so many of those that youtube constantly recommends MR Ballen videos. Mr Ballen used to bite the missing 411 cases to make his own vids. he didnt need to do that though. he has some pretty good content that isnt related to the M411 series

its kind of messed up... youtube suppresses the CanAm missing 411 project videos but promotes imitators that lift content and add spin.

We do have our own versions of this tech, the TR-3B in particular

The problem is that I'm not really sure even our own military has full access to it, the agencies involved with controlling/developing this stuff basically seem to operate as their own government... a level of secrecy above even the president

Same UFOs Fravor, et al saw in the Gulf but on the East Coast.

https://www.insider.com/former-navy-...content=topbar

Quote:

Former US Navy pilot Ryan Graves told CBS's 60 Minutes that pilots training off the US coast sighted UFOs nearly every day.

The show on Sunday explored a series of alleged recent encounters between US military pilots and UFOs, some of which were caught on film and have been released by the Pentagon.

One encounter took place in 2014, when Graves and his F/A-18F squadron sighted UFOs in restrictive airspace near Virginia Beach, in southeastern Virginia.

https://twitter.com/60Minutes/status...t-daily-2021-5

In 2019, US military pilots recorded UFOs in the same area in images obtained by the program. The Pentagon told CBS News that it had not been able to identify the objects.

Graves said that such sightings were a nearly daily occurrence.

"Every day. Every day for at least a couple years," he said of the sightings.

He discussed an encounter off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida, in 2015, captured by one of his pilots on camera.

"This is a difficult one to explain. You have rotation, you have high altitudes. You have propulsion, right? I don't know. I don't know what it is, frankly," remarked Graves.

On the show, several more US military pilots who've witnessed UFOs described the experiences.

Lue Elizondo, the former head of a Pentagon project to investigate UFO sightings, said that some objects seemed to defy what was believed to be technologically possible.

"Imagine a technology that can do 6-to-700 G-forces, that can fly at 13,000 miles an hour, that can evade radar and that can fly through air and water and possibly space. And oh, by the way, has no obvious signs of propulsion, no wings, no control surfaces and yet still can defy the natural effects of Earth's gravity," he said.

In April the US military certified the authenticity of several videos showing encounters between pilots and UFOs that had been published in the media. It followed the declassification last year of several videos showing encounters with UFOs.

Following the sightings, the defense department last August launched a special taskforce to investigate them. Its report is scheduled for release in June.

Elizondo told the program that after running through all the possibilities there were some sightings his team had been unable to explain.

"We're going through our due diligence. Is it some sort of new type of cruise missile technology that China has developed? Is it some sort of high-altitude balloon that's conducting reconnaissance?" he said. "Ultimately when you have exhausted all those what-ifs and you're still left with the fact that this is in our airspace and it's real, that's when it becomes compelling, and that's when it becomes problematic."

There is merit to this thought. Military tech is years if not decades in front of normal everyday life and tech. Who knows what's out there blasting around in the skies that we or another country built.

That said, man, they sure are releasing a LOT of videos and info on the UFO phenomenon lately.

Luis Elizondo, the former head of a classified DoD program to research potential UFO said that there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone.

He also said that "These aircraft - we'll call them aircraft - are displaying characteristics that are not currently within the US inventory nor in any foreign inventory that we are aware of,". He also said that the information that's been released to the public to date only scratches the surface of what the government and military knows about these UAP's.

I don't think they're "Time Travelers" from the future because that's absurd. While it's possible to "Time Travel" to the future when nearing the Speed of Light, which is described in Einstein's Theory of Relativity, traveling back in time just isn't feasible because time isn't linear, even though we count it as such.

I've been interested in UFO phenomena since I was a little kid and have always thought it would be cool if there were alien visitations. But as I've grown older (and hopefully, a little wiser), I do not believe that such an interaction would be benign. There are literally billions of planets in the known universe so why would aliens send drones or scout ships to Earth if their intentions were for the betterment of mankind?

I've read every book by Carl Sagan, who was hopeful that Earthlings might some day become Citizens of the Universe, which is a nice thought but I tend to agree now with Steven Hawking in the belief that extraterrestrial visitors would be the downfall of human civilization, at least until we've created the tech needed to travel at light speed, which I'm sure is at least a few hundred years away, if not longer.

Oh shit... I made that thread in the Lounge without knowing this one existed here.

Why is this in the Media Center tho?

I've seen that Hawking quote and have mixed feelings about it. I get the logic, but assuming that an advanced civilization will show up as oppressors an automatically attempt to oppress us because they're more advanced is as short sighted as we as humans thinking we have 100% figured out all there is to know about physics and space flight. IF there is life out there observing us, we have so so much to learn, just the same as with travel through space.

These UFO's are a perfect example of that. Pilots are on record having observed them stating that these craft travel in ways that defy the laws of physics. Has mankind reached a point where we can bend physics or are these visitors from another place or time? We (the public, anyway) just don't know that yet.

It was created here and has always been here as far as I know. No worries with the Lounge thread, it just gets more people talking about it!

I just can't think of any other reason why an alien civilization would visit Earth, other than to search out resources. It's the same motivation that NASA and Space X have for our future in colonizing the Moon and Mars. Musk wants to terraform Mars for human expansion and I assume that any existing bacteria or lower life forms found on Mars would not stop humankind from establishing colonies or even terraforming the planet.

Well, they're definitely not from another time. It's impossible to move back in time because it's a man made construct and does not exist outside of humans. Lower life forms on this planet have no concept of time - only humans perceive time.

There have been plenty of scientists with theories of how to warp space and travel at light speed (or faster) but we just don't have an energy source at this point in time able to provide the necessary fuel to travel between the stars.

All of our probes out there, from Voyager 1 and 2 to the current Mars lander, can only travel at a speed of about 26,000 miles per hour, which sounds like a lot but when that's compared to Light Speed, which is more than 11 million miles per hour, it's a snail's pace.

If an alien civilization recently sent drones and probes to Earth, it's a safe bet that they are so far technologically advanced that we would serve no purpose to them, whatsoever and therefore, we would be nothing but an inconvenient hindrance to their goals.

Who do we think we are, anyway? The human race doesn't posses anything of value to anyone else. Other than our planet.

I highly doubt it, man. China does not invent or innovate. Their entire approach to everything is to steal designs and copy them.

It's crazy how mainstream this is going. You can just tell that Dietrich isn't bullshitting at all.

Quickly! Let's form a UN based world government to fight it off!

When I think of aliens, I kinda picture it being thin like this figure in the video, it's most def. prob. 9.9/10 fake but it is interesting to speculate.

I agree, it's all in jest lol made me want to search speculation on what they might look like - as if we would know lol https://www.popularmechanics.com/spa...lly-look-like/

So this alien got drunk at the local dive bar and forgot where he parked his space ship?

At least we have something relatable in common.

I never liked the argument that it's unrealistic that aliens would look similar to us. Of course they would.

Drunks go to bars. Kids go to toy stores. Aliens would naturally go to a planet that is similar or beneficial to them. We probably won't try to settle on Jupiter because it's a gas planet, life or no life. We might settle on Europa or one of the moons of saturn though due to how similar we think they might be.

Besides 4 legged creatures can't manipulate the environment like primates can. Your method of locomotion can drastically limit your ability to manipulate the world around you. I would think living in a liquid based environment would limit you as well...
