Gates needs two more years, minimum. Probably three. He’s following almost a decade of Martin and Anderson. I’m willing to overlook another season like this one before I want to see improvement. Their level of suck set us back years.

What in the hell is going on with Mizzou basketball this year? I expected you to be respectable at the least.

If you would have told me that I could understand if Gates was fired after this year I would assume that some kind of Dave Bliss scandal happened.

This team might be worse than any Anderson team. How is that possible?

I like Gates but you’re just delaying the inevitable now…

Coaches, esp. good ones, don’t have years like this and never recover from it.

It’s almost impossible to go winless in the league…

When Missouri was 180th last year in defensive efficiency that didn't, um, raise a big red flag to any of you?

Also, what are you guys doing next Saturday? I thought we could all watch the LSU game together to see if they can really do it and go 0-18.

It was an incredibly undersized team that got routinely killed on the glass. That rating wasn't surprising. The canary in the coal mine might have been the Princeton game. They were completely embarrassed schematically, and the same issues have manifested this year.

No way he gets canned, New AD has to give time before a swing like that.

As a point of clarification--I'm not saying he will or necessarily should be canned, but this season has been so bad that if it happens I'd have this kind of reaction:

Well the BOC should be happy now, they are losing again with a fresh dumpster fire lit. Their job is done.

KC_Connection 03-09-2024 08:21 PM

Up 6 at half. Could they really do it?

And despite just about the worst attempt at closing a game by a team I've ever seen (LSU), the answer is no. History it is.

'Hamas' Jenkins 03-09-2024 09:59 PM

Nice to see Gates get 58x the median American household income to win as many conference games as a literal potato would have.

Will this record-breaking season come to a close tonight? Twenty minutes until we find out!
