I'd take that in a heartbeat (sorry, Carolinas).

My favorite is the backing up everything to the cloud.

We are actually scanning some of my girlfriend's important documents and putting it up on Dropbox ahead of the storm..

If that happens, will take the SUV loaded up with family and dogs but I'm also taking my car north to save it.

My Plan B was to go to my daughter's in Jacksonville but now it's shifted East since that last report I posted which was from last 5 AM report.

Pictures from St. Martin. I'm putting the Tweet in spoiler tags because of the title.

Spoiler!

Just got of the phone with my friend. He's going to ride it out unless they order a mandatory evacuation.

My daughter is going to a wedding shower in Charleston on Saturday and thinks she's still going.

I'm less than a mile from the coast....just a few blocks depending on what inlet you use. I'm currently leaning toward "riding it out" and/or to a local shelter that is on higher ground, but 20% chance of changing my mind to leave.

I'm securing everything that can fly around inside my home, tucking it away. Have someone boarding house up on weekend even if I have to leave.

All tourists in the Florida Keys are being evacuated under a mandatory order. Residents to follow mandatory order this afternoon or night.

Listen to that wind, that is insane. And I can't believe they still have power through all of that.

Yep, there are literally almost no available flights left out of Miami International Airport or Fort Lauderdale International Airport today or tomorrow... to pretty much anywhere in the United States, especially hub locations such as Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, etc.

I reserved my flight to Atlanta on Monday, so luckily I was able get a flight before the craziness began.

It is about an 8-9 hour drive from Miami to Atlanta, and if you make the drive overnight you should be able to avoid the super crazy traffic.

The Florida Keys have a mandatory evacuation for all residents at 7 p.m. tonight, and Miami Beach and areas east of US-1 in Miami will likely get a mandatory evacuation order soon, so I'd recommend making the drive tonight to Atlanta, or Macon, or Valdosta if you can't get a flight out.

Another good tip: fill your bathtub with water and use that water to flush the toilets.
